Transcendental Sonnet #1344:
Ride the Tide
Things happen when they happen not before
As turns the wheel of fate for you and me
And we must just accept that nothing more
Can be done in this process once begun
But let it run the course of destiny
The only conclusion to confusion
Is to rest in this moment and be still
As turns the wheel of fate around and round
To ride the tide serene through good and ill
That which was lost once will again be found
Morning and evening and sunshine and rain
Everything turns in the universe to
Show us all sides all the pleasure and pain
As turns the wheel it turns for me and you
