Hey Hey
revelling

this ache in heart, as such
through loving just too much
tell friends, my girl, my son
i'm yet again undone

i've thrown in towels before
can't do this anymore
the leaving to return
this time should stay and burn

i know that's not enough
expecting cruel rebuff
rejection's part of life
cuts deeper than a knife

going nowhere, but of course
i'm revelling in remorse

Yes, quite so: bitter or better; having passed through bitter, I want now to be better (at least not bitter anymore!).

Your poetry continues to bloom beautifully; isn't it a magical phenomenon of the arts that we continue to grow and become more beautiful even as we live well into life? I am reminded of Picasso and Casals... never mind Toscanini; he rather annoyed me, but he was always that way at any age... *sigh* 'Cellists, you know (that was a wee dig at my son Teddy, who would remind that he is also a guitarist).

So we will get better and better at poetry, as long as we live; I find that most encouraging, delightful in fact.

My spirit has returned to my body; the light is burning again, and someone is home.

Wishing you well then,

+Stevie

Damn it, I completely forgot my original point! But that's no surprise...

Yes: it's a sonnet! It's a perfectly ripsnorting sonnet, and I like it very much; it's fresh and beautifully-crafted. We're the two sonneteers.

Cheers!

Hey Hey,

You seem to be my brother in agony. I mean it in a good way, if that makes sense. I read your poems and it is as if you looked into my soul and could see what I was feeling at any given moment. I love to read your work, so enchanting and wonderful.
