Transcendental Sonnet #1325:
New Songs

Here in this thick darkness word has reached me that
Out there in the sunshine people care for me
Hanging upside down like a cave-dwelling bat
What goes on outside is hard for me to see

Life goes on or so they say live for today
Yesterday is lost tomorrow may not come
Reality sounds good to me anyway
I have had more than enough of fantasy
If anyone will share real love I want some

I am not bad-looking if no longer young
My curiosity inspires me always
To find such new songs as have not yet been sung
I would like to do new wonders all my days
My life ever new to sing new songs for you

Good to see you swingin' the bat again my +Goofball friend! You deserve much better than what you have been dealt as of late...and it's coming! Keep the faith my friend. BTW, I found your poem inspiring, eloquently conveyed, and even slightly amusing...a terrific recipe for a keeper!

Steven,

We do love you out here. I know I am new here, but I think of everyone here as a new wonderful friend. I feel blessed to converse and share with all of you. I am very happy that you are posting again. Like I said before, we missed you.

Take care of yourself,
Nikki

Thanks so much, Kevin; I pinned your book announcement to the top of the board because I am so proud of you. I know how polished and truly complete your book will be, since I know how long and how hard you have worked on it.

Hi, Nikki! I am so happy to find you here among us! I have just come back from a terrible time in my life, but I feel like I will make it now, with the support of wonderful people in my life such as we have here. I think the best poems I wrote during the crisis are "Fallen Star" and "Now." They are to be found in that thread where our members were so kind about me, and also in my board I call The Secret Place elsewhere here on the site. I was unable to use the computer for awhile, and I missed everyone very much.

Thanks for joining us, Hollywoodsnoopy!

Love,

+Stevie

Steven,

You are very loved by us here. We are just glad that you didn't leave this place forever. It would have been a big loss to the world to not have you in it, remember that. Isn't it strange that such beauty can come from sweet sorrow? That is how I felt this week, the magnitude of what I went through is a much smaller scale of course, but it gave me solace to write it out and try to move away from the strict pain I felt. I got to say goodbye to something and he will never even know. That is what hurts most I guess. Thanks for coming back to us.

Nikki

I am so proud of Kevin. I can't wait to read the book. I give him lots of respect. I wish I could do something like that someday, maybe I will.

Steven,

You are truly a gifted poet and I'm so glad that you have chosen to stay and play with kindred spirits here. Remember, inspiration comes from truly moving life experience. Sometimes, we just don't like our new address! Keep the faith because home is where the heart is and you can always make a new home. Prayers and peace to you for a full recovery. Even a broken home is still home. Do the necessary repairs and love will return. By the way, I'm good with a hammer. Rodger replaces metaphorical hammer with sympathetic ear.

All my love to all!

Let us live and love, laugh last and best, and the tiger roar wild and free.

The blood of my father runs in my veins; it is morning and I have just awoken into the full glory of my life, if after a troubled sleep. Away with the unhealthy and the false; I will now grasp life with both hungry hands and a thirsty mouth:

"Drink deep your kiss of life deep golden one"

Good morning! Welcome home!

It's been said, but I'll say it again, welcome back Steven! It's so good to see your words again!
