ALL MY EGGS IN ONE BASKET

My mother advised not to keep in one place

My valuable things as I run through life’s race.

Keep open your options and never slam doors.

Life can be harsh when you’re scarred by its wars.

Opportunity seeks those with diversity.

Broaden your reach like the roots of a tree.

We all have our gifts and rich pearls to share.

Wisdom is gained if you take time to care.

Open your heart to reach out when there’s need.

Be first to help out with compassion, and lead.

Don’t turn your back on the ones that you love.

Stand right beside them when push comes to shove.

Never burn bridges or speak ill of the dead.

Respect what life teaches and build them instead.

Lead with your conscience and speak with your heart.

Make peace your weapon when arguments start.

Seek your own happiness in the choices you make.

Be quick to apologize when you make a mistake.

Dress for success and take pride in your work.

Steer clear of the darkness where demons might lurk.

Hold up your candle to light up the way.

So you can feel proud at the end of the day.

Extraordinary people will give you their best.

Your excellence sets you apart from the rest.

Leave no stone unturned and do all that you can.

Words and your actions are what measure a man.

Set an example for the children you raise.

Fill up their hearts when you give them your praise.

Never put all of your eggs in one basket.

Tell me you love me before I’m laid in a casket.

I’m so grateful for her, she’s the reason I thrive,

So I’m giving her flowers while she’s still alive.

Arranged in my heart in a fragrant bouquet.

Displayed with my love in a lavish array.

Admiration, respect, and my deepest devotion,

Filling me up with my favorite emotion.
