It starts
a bean
small and round

consumed
in hunger
by ounce or pound

chewed
and mixed
sometimes with meat

and finally
expelled
a buttocks bleat!

A windy call
to one and all
announcing yesterdays meal

A gaseous point
a pungent reminder
a rip-roaring, aromatic squeal

Small and round
ounce or pound
shared with friend or neighbor

Just don't smoke
within 50 feet
for fear the explosive danger!

copywrite 2003, J. Sirak

You are brave to share this with others,
I feel singled out for this honor.

This is profoundly disturbing,
I can't get it out of my head.

I guess I'll have to stand up and walk around.

Hey Hey
Just a load of hot air!
rhymer
Words of art; explosive stuff!

Keep 'em coming and blow away the opposition!

hmmm...

what rhymes with "compulsive art"...?

This poem speaks on so many levels,
it gets under your skin and then works its way up to the surface.

Cathartic.
