The Sun Still Shines

One day of sun then follow five of rain
I want to make the very most of this
Holiday before I get hosed again
My upturned face embracing this last kiss
Of sun before a storm which once begun
Might flood my cellar before it is done

But what do they know on the radio?
It might never come and it might just go
If it comes at all sooner than they know

The days have been colder inside than out
And all of them have been one storm for me
For about as long as I can recall
Certainly since the beginning of fall
I fell as well but now I want to shout
That the sun is shining inside of me

I believed I received and then I grieved
To know it was over but now relieved
The sun still shines I see my heart is free
