Transcendental Sonnet #1303:
Inky

He was only a small round ball of fur
Diminutive delightful and dinky
For all I know he might have been a her
But was jet black so I called him Inky

I used to change the ribbon on the typewriter
Which belonged to Grandma as a favor to her
And that jet black ink would get all over my hands
Anyone who remembers such things understands
Grandmas and memories and that small black bunny
Things like these which make this life worth living
Cannot be had for any amount of money

So that is why I ended up giving
Inky to the Cahill kids because they loved him so
They gave him the very best home a bunny could know
