Geschmacklos / Tasteless Me: Would You Agree?

At least all American teenagers love me
And everybody else on AuthorsDen
But I give some Europeans apoplexy
My friends from the Arab world (mostly men)
Find me too civilized to be American
Which is also the case with friends from India
And even some kind souls from old Virginia

Europeans note this cultural difference:
They have culture! I have none! But in my defense
I really think I should say
They love me in the UK
Because if I am anything I am British
Yet I am not anything: neither fowl nor fish
But a stranger a lone ranger slam-dunk skate punk
