Transcendental Sonnet #1300:
My New Bike 1964
What was not to like about my new bike?
A leopard-skin banana seat
Long shiny chopper handlebars
A big wide slick tire on the back
Just like a dragster neat and sweet
I fell off and I saw the stars
Then everything went really black
Got back on rode home feeling bold
Because the fenders were all-chrome
And the frame was metal-flake gold
Montgomery Ward Sting-Ray
1964 it was
And I will never forget it because
That was a neater and a sweeter day
