My interests include the Holistic approach to life, including total health of body, mind and spirit through the study of complementary therapies including pneumatherapy--self-hypnosis without the hocus pocus.
My basic undergrad work is in psychology. After I graduated in theology and became an ordained minister of the United Church of Canada, I founded the first church in Happy Valley, Goose-bay, Labrador. I then did a post-grad degree in the HISTORY OF IDEAS AND BELIEFS at Boston (Boston U and Harvard).
I take a feathers approach to economics--feathers cover the whole bird, not just the wings.
I am also interested in the art of providing full, abundant and meaningful employment (FAME) through the use of complementary and community currencies (CCC).
I am very ecumenical and universal in my approach to faith and religion. I call myself a unitheist. G-d is the all-that-is, not a personal being. I've been a member since April, 2004. You are welcome to the FREE forum at http://www.flfcanada.com There we discuss, theology, philosophy, pneumatology--the mother of psychology, See World Book Dictionary, the political economy, especially the local currency movement, and much more. We follow the principles of holism.
I retired as a pastoral minister in 1994. Now, I like to think of myself as re-directed--an artist and a writer, director of The Family Life Foundation.
I have a daughter, Catherine (49) who is an artist. She lives with her artist husband, Wayne Adams, near Tofino, BC, on a large floating house on the west coast of Vancouver Island. My son (47) is a teacher and a musician, the father of my only three grandchildren (9, 14, 16). His wife, Farah, is a Sufi Muslim, from Tehran, Iran. [Feb. 1, 2006] |
