So gracefully do amber waves
dance to and fro' in their surreal waltz beneath the billowing sails propelling our existence into blissful sunset. I have yet to find such peace as gazing upon those sails searching for answers between their ethereal and gleaming stitches There skies the same as my own intrepid, vast, infinitely unknown. Haunting, yet beautifully existential ...inviting. Casting amber rays upon me in the midst of another sunset, and embracing my slumber in the shadows of hand hewn silver light. My humble knee finds purpose amidst amber waves this winter's eve. Alas, I know who I am amidst all things. I am a husband, and a father, A leader, and a follower. I am a patriot and a poet... Yet, I am still a child of God foremost Ever enchanted by amber waves, billowing sails, and His great unknowns. Copyright, Kevin V. Reese, 2004 |
