I can see how Republicans could be sick of seeing their boy continually trounced. I would be tired of it too. As a Kerry supporter, however, I could watch it some more. Kerry scored a definite victory last night. By the way, what Bush called a Kerry exageration was actually the truth. Also, when Kerry said that Bush had refused to meet with the NAACP and the Black Congressional Caucus, it was also true. The Black Congressional Caucus later went to Bush.

Watching W debate can be painful. More generally, after a debate or two the picture is clear and continued debating becomes redundant and (if one can't stop oneself from watching) annoying. For example, even though I am a big OU fan I get annoyed by the annual OU-Baylor game because there is no chance of anything particularly interesting happening.

I found the clip from 2002 where Bush said he wasn't worried about OBL to be interesting, but I think that in context he was talking about tactical problems with OBL which had been greatly reduced as OBL was being cut off from the command structure of AlQaida. Interestingly, the clips I saw immediately cut off after the suspect phrase had been uttered. I wonder what the next few statements might have added to the overall perception of his statement. As for the meeting with the BCC, I guess Bush considered the fact of having a meeting with the BCC as equivalent to agreeing to meet with them in contradiction to the claim that he refused.
