Fallen Angel
I talked to happiness, Whom kept me company; But she grew bored, And left me here Without disgression. I met a man named lies, He said he loved me And that he'd never leave me. We became good friends, And it was then I realized... As he walked away. The cuts on my wrists read out to me, And the stars that looked down on me cried; There is no lie quite like "I Love You." Forgiveness never knew me, And laughter never called my name; But I gave definition to heartache And this headache is no stranger. Pain was an invention I wish I'd not made. But communism gave me lack of privacy, As my thoughts were distributed freely. Like the four winds scattering secrets To the gossipy trees. You never know what love is, She said. Until you've read about it. So I looked into it and did my homework, But all I read were your eyes And I saw between the lines. We're making our own story. And our bindings are our heartbeats, The covers are the sheets that shield us. And they read a lover's tragic tale; It ends with a bowl of Ice Cream, And a side of birth control. Lovely thoughts for such a smoggy day. Blue skies, Gray heart, And she's finding grace in falling. |

what's communism got to do with it? Do you live in China or N. Korea?
