Face of stone and marble might, lifted high upon the cliff, Chiseled rock, bronzen sight, awe's array standing stiff, A frozen moment in the night, nature's own human gift. O' so solemn in thy pose, ever the guardian of the eve, The growth of vines hide thy clothes, of nudity 'sides marble leaves, Century's pass to ages fro, leaves thou in my company. From long away and far ago, through the hills of Côte Du Rhone, ere the beauty that thou bestow, From out of marbel's perfect stone, birthed the essence of thy glow, though many years thou shined alone. Immortal statue solid friend, wisest of all earthly things, whisper nothing of thy end, O' monument of fallen kings, beginner of many fulgurant trend, O' solid sir of hollow dreams. Such reflector of my soul, Countless days thou spoke to me, When casted into Kilburn's hole, thou closed my eyes so I could see, Drifter of the rooted knoll, on my life I swear to thee. Ode to statue of grace and glory, through the rock my visions clear, the writer of the statue's story, My friend I'll hold forever near, Hunter of a many quarry - Standing tall without a fear. |

I have really enjoyed this piece. I haven't had much to say lately, or many comments to make... but this one was the difference...
