Love
Is the cruelest of all lies An illusion That tempts the innocent With a promise of happiness That is forever beyond reach. Once, I believed in love, But now My soul Broken and bloody from the fight Dies slowly in its loneliness. There are no dreams, No hopes And no prayers left for me. Now There is only what is real..... My pain, My sorrow, And soon..... My death. The lies Born of love Are now ashes Slipping through my fingers. I once thought That I could find love Touch love And hold onto love But, Like all lies Love disappeared The moment that I truly believed in it. James M. Guzman This is the last poem that i will be posting....maybe the last peom that I will ever write. I don't know. The love I believed in....the love I gave my heart to...the love I pledged my life to...is no longer mine. And now I am afraid. Afraid of feeling....and of given in to my emotions....the pain, the anger, and especially the despair. So now, I am shutting down my emotions....never wanting to express them again. And that means that i can no longer write of my feelings through my poetry. Shawn, Steven, Dara, thank you for making me welcome here. I am not leaving...i will still visit often and post on other poems when they touch me. To those who have read and enjoyed my poems...Thank you from my heart. I may write again......I just don't know right now. James |

This is so beautiful, but I think its a travesty that you are not going to write anymore.

True love is never a lie nor is it an easy road! It can be a beautiful thing that needs to be treasured but it can also hurt deep down to the core! I would like to openly apologize to James because I hurt him without ever meaning to I would rather die than to ever hurt him intentionly! I would like everyone here to know that! I am only a human who is trying to find my heart along the way. For those who know me here and abroad know this is true. Please excuse the occassional falls along the way! I have a good heart not always pure but I try to keep it true I am sorry I failed you James and I hope in time you can find it in your heart to release the goodness and passion you once had and I believe you still do...it may be hidden but in my heart it still shines My sunshine will never die for it is towards the sun and stars where I strive to always fly! We will find our way together........"as best friends or the truest lovers" in the purest sense of the phrase God will guide us we will always be together because our souls are connected God and the love we share for each other has bonded us forever. I wish I could find the words to tell you and the world how sorry I am. A part of me is dying inside cuz I sense the hurt deep within you and I know I caused this pain but I will not leave my sunshine ever Please forgive me I hope you all can one day forgive me and realize this hurt was in no way intentional.....
This poem affected me to the core of who I am and made my very soul ache but It needed to be written and expressed and I am very glad it was Its intention I realize was not to put blame and I took it not in that sense but as a longing to try and release the hurt~Thank u for posting  Love Tenderly, Chrissy |
