Another stupid question... Options

Ok, so I would like to put my photo on my profile and so that it is visible to you know... you shiny people. UNFORTUATLEY, I guess I don;t know how to do that. If you can think of some sort of suggestion, please let me know.

I don't know how to do it either, Selina; Shawn did it for me. He will know how to do it for you. I'm on my second generation of photos which Shawn has done for me, actually; there was another one before this current one, and I still have no idea how to do it. I sent my photos to him as email attachments, and he put them in, as I recall.

While we're at this... Silke has sent me the most glorious drawings, which I would like to submit for that Art Board we have hereabouts these days... I don't know how to do that either, but I would like to; I had better ask her permission to share them in that way though, first, but they really are wonderful. We will use them in our poetry books.

I guess I'm not much help! I just saw your question and thought I'd share my own experience; I don't want you to think your question is in any way stupid. It seems to me this whole business of posting photos is a bit tricky. I will enjoy seeing your photo; I like to see what we look like. It facilitates communication, I believe. I need a new photo... I feel like I look so much better than this present photo... oh well... it's really hard to be satisfied with photos of ourselves; at least it's hard for me. Maybe if I were better-looking it would be easier!

To place a photo in your profile, you must first have it on the web someplace. Such as a home page. You can get a free one though geocities or lycos if you do not already have one. Alternatively, you can upload to the mind-brain server but be aware that things will have to be deleted and moved elsewhere if we run out of room. Directions for uploading directly are at:

Then you can direct link to the picture. Go into your profile and choose "edit my profile". Under "additional information" you will find a space that says I HAVE MY OWN PICTURE. Click the box to put a check mark inside it, then type in the exact URL for your picture. Click "change profile and "tada" you have a new pic. It will update on all your posts that you have already made automatically.


To share art, you can upload to the mind brain server as well but it will be easier for you and probably everyone viewing if you simply start a new message and then you will see under the "disable smilies" option there is an "attach" option. Choose the file you want to attach from your hard drive using the browse button then post your message and "ta da" your file is attached and anyone who wants to can open it and view it.
