Hello,

I have a case study example which I am having difficulties distinguishing upper and lower motor neuron. The person MRI identified an infarct primarily in the left frontal area extending into the insular region. Ongoing paresis of right arm and leg, right facial droop, right sided facial weakness and marked expressive speech difficulties. Unable to whistle, puff cheeks or clear throat to command.

From the above information is this upper or lower motor neuron? why?

Thank you,

Seminat
