Scientists get a look, essentially, at the physical evolution of creative thought processes using an fMRI. A news article describing the study is at Bioscience Technology "Science Finds Home of Imagination." The study itself is located at the PNAS website, and is called "Network Structure and Dynamics of the Mental Workspace." All this seems to verify the theory of the global workspace as theorized by Baars decades ago.
