Maybe Not Today

At least I learned at last about moisturizing
Here at half-past fifty-seven realizing
Now if belatedly just how beneficial
What once on the face of it seemed so superficial
Is in caring for my self within through my skin

The sort of thing I never really thought about
The realized relationship that out has with in
Got better late than never from the inside out

It took awhile to get it but I finally
Got it when I realized then it was just not right
Was something like selfish to feel like some shellfish
Revealed to who would feel me who could and who just might

Realizing spring then in fall though I should be
When I must fight to turn out right I trust I can
Aware of this take care of this my self within
An unselfish self-realized and moisturized man
Before skin turns dust when the burning must begin

No time for burning now though for one just learning how
To not turn dust I trust before I turn away
I may be dust tomorrow but maybe not today
