As a hopeful sign in spring so she Always was to me and always will Be a daffodil delightfully The sun coming up from upside down The best to forget the rest of me The one turning upside down my frown Spring in the fall as the best of me Of all after all where destiny As a hopeful sign of what can be Blooms there somewhere beneath the blonde hair In the petals of the Daffodil Of one who paradoxically Is actually a lot like me Of the girl I love and always will The girl I love is a daffodil +Steven Curtis Lance Copyright MMXII |
