Hey Everyone! A few people have suggested that I post this to get feedback from the community, as well as keep a journal on what I am taking. After weeks and weeks of research and reading the forums, I came up with what is listed below. I have crossed several items off in the process of everything, including Vinpocetine.
I guess I should go ahead and start out with a little bit of background, and I'll list all the stuff I am currently taking to make sure there's no reactions between all of them and everything is at the right level(s) it should be for me. Starting out, I am 21 years old, 158 lbs. and very physically fit / active. I am in college, in the Honors Program at East Tennessee State University, and don't drink alcohol hardly at all. I don't smoke either. I try to eat a well-balanced diet, stay away from fast food, and eat alot of meat, - as well as drink several glasses of milk every morning. Listed below is what I currently take every day. Hope this isn't too confusing, and if you have any suggestions at all, please tell me! - 1/3 (1 pill) serving of Multi-Basics 3 Multi-Vitamin every Morning and Night. - 1 Fish Oil Pill in the Morning and Night. Ingredients: 1,050 mg's Purified Fish Oil (molecularly distilled) Omega-3 Fatty Acids 400 mg's EPA (eicosapentaenoic acid) 200 mg's DHA (docosahexaenoic acid) - Glucosamine, Chondroitin & MSM Pill (1/2 serving in the Morning, 1/2 at Night) Full (daily) Serving Ingredients: 1,500 mg's Glucosamine Sulfate (2 KCl) 1,200 mg's Chondroitin Sulfate 1,000 mg's MSM (OptiMSM®) - Because I don't often eat alot of vegetables, I take Vegetable and Fruit Capsules as well. Again, sorry that the ingredients are too long to list here! But I take one serving (1,400 mg's) in the morning, and one serving (1,400 mg's) at night. It has Green Tea and other extracts in it as well.. can't post URL but it's the Vitacost brand and can be found on the website. Now comes the work-out cocktail / nutrients. This is what I take a couple times a week, and drink it in a shake during my work-out, as I've found it increases my energy and stamina, and I've read that that is one of the best times to take most of this stuff? (That or within 30 minutes after a work-out). So this serving is about 3 times a week, and again, I'm not sure if I have the optimum ratios, but it is NOW Foods Whey Protein Isolate Strawberry, which contains 50 grams of protein, over 4 grams of Glutamine and Glutamine Precursors, almost every BCAA in the book (essential and non-essential), and then separately, I added 5 G's of Creatine monohydrate to each serving. Now comes the Nootrophic Stack, and what I have researched as what I (possibly) need / want. I'm only planning on taking this in the morning, as that's when I have class. I also work out in the morning, so I guess I would take this after my protein shake that I listed above? Here's the list: - Choline Citrate (500 mg's ?) - Piracetam (800 mg's ?) - Aniracetam (200 mg's ?) - Oxiracetam (300 mg's ?) - Lion's Mane (900 mg's, 400 of that is standardized 14:1 ratio, the other 500 is fruiting body) In this pill is also 100 mg's of Maitake TD-Fraction® (10% active proteoglucan) - Acetyl L-Carnitine (HCl) (500 mg's) - Alpha-Lipoic Acid (300 mg's) At Night: (Fish Oil pill and Multi-vitamin listed above) + The Lion's Mane, and - Ashwagandha Extract (Standardized) 470 mg So.. what do you think? Too little? Too much? Wrong ratio's? I'm all ears! I was thinking of adding Rhodiola Rosea, but it is a stimulant and I'll already have enough of that from my creatine shake and the nootropic's listed above. Timing is also everything I suppose, and I usually work out before I go to my classes, so I'm not sure when I'll do the protein shake and / or the nootropic mix.. I don't want them to accidentally interfere with each other. Sincerely, Trew |

I would start out with everything less the ayuvedics to begin with and see how you feel before adding more to the mix. Seems reasonable enough to me. You will find it can get pretty pricey after a while though.

Humm...seems fine to me. I would start the choline supplementation at much lower doses though. Just the 125mg of choline in my B-complex is enough to give me shoulder and jaw tension but everyone is different.
At Alcar doses of 500mg there is no need of supplementation with Alpha lipoic acid, but if you must I would try to get the R-Ala form. |

Thanks guys! The ayurvedics meaning, the herbs?
I had also thought about adding a small amount of Bacopa along with the Gotu Kola, as both should help counteract any anxiety / nervousness from the ALCAR, Racetams, and Coffee that I will be taking them all with. The R-ala form is better? And with the Glucosamine, Chondroitin & MSM, are there any negative side effects with these? I've heard MSM has interesting absorption properties.. but I'm not quite sure. Again thank you guys for the input. |

Just asking for help and / or opinions KoolK3n, no need to lash out? You have yet to back up your claim about the Glucosamine, Chondroitin & MSM.
