Indeed. An excellent misuse of time and life. Deep thinkers are not always the most intelligent people lol.

Isnīt deep thinking akin to deep diving ?
The deeper you go inside, the quieter it becomes: you move from Beta waves of the surface to Alpha to Theta and to Delta waves of the depth ~
And it is within Theta frequency range where you have the highest levels of creativity ~

Familiar with Longitudinal and Transverse Wave Motion ?

I think this is a fairly accurate notion, although if you go too deep, you may loose touch. Life is lonely on top of a pedestal.

What is Life ? Life is Energy Continuum, Energy Flow ~
And what is on the Top of the Pedestal of Life ? God ? The Source of Infinite Energy-Consciousness ?
On the Top of the Pedestal of Life is not loneliness but Aloneness/ALL-ONEness

No such thing as a need when it comes to God, that'd be a human concept projected upon the concept of God.

Well God created man in his likeness, so he must have had some Daddy issues. Or maybe it was Jesus with the Daddy issues?

Referring to the iMac covering "mans" genitals in your avatar. Lol nah I mean man as in the people who wrote the Bible, and his human tendency for needs. Half of the commandments are statements of a pretty jealous God. Seems like a very human trait to me. Purpose is a very human trait. There is no need to create without a purpose.

The commandments are statements to the natural state of the mind when one is Self realized as the Son/Daughter of God. The idea of jealousy is not exactly accurate.

If you were to put it into some kind of relative relationship, like say becoming a music master, then it would not seem foreign to set the goal of mastering music first, before filling the mind and body with distractions. One who is focused will have a much easier time achieving the goal than one who spends little of their time on the goal.

The Bible was re-written in the 4th century to do away with things like reincarnation and Christ consciousness. Obviously a God who is said to be Omniscient, Omnipotent or Omnipresent would have nothing to gain or lose by the stupidity that man creates, any more than you would have something to gain or lose if someone who has an opinion that is totally opposite of yours lives in your neighborhood (Unless you feel another's opinion could cause you suffering).
Jesus once made a remark to that affect, when he said, "God does not create suffering, only man creates suffering".

You are right when you say the bible is full of human traits. Much of it has been translated poorly from its original script, and little of it bears any resemblance to the years of dialogue between Jesus and his disciples. Nor does it do any justice to his teachings.

Creation is more at a level that escapes most humans at their present state of evolution.

I think we are totally on the same page. I definitely do not consider my God to be a Christian god. For me God is everything--nature. As far as I can tell nature is not random; therefore, God is not random, there is purpose. Some logical process is going on, and it seems to me, God is lonely in its oneness. The Universe began its conscious evolution with the formation of atoms. Then the collective atom began conversing through gravitation. Now complex chemical messages are conversing to form life. We represent another stage in the evolution of the awareness of the Universe. We operate on the level of the community as a conscious collective.

God wants to evolve.

God has a want?

Why does time and space have to limit God to experience Mankind on a road with a beginning and an end? Isn't that just a human experience?

Flex writes: "God sounds pretty damn lonely to me. Why else would there be a need for creation ?"

Why is there a need for exhale after inhale, Flex ?
Have you ever thought that exhale is akin to creation, and inhale is akin to dissolution ?
Thatīs why it is said that God created Man in His likeness, for WHO is breathing in you ?
Then you write: "God is lonely in his oneness " -- How can one be lonely in oneness, if ONEness contains ALL,Everything !?

And does God want to evolve ? Evolution is an Outbreath/Centrifugal force of the Universe ~

If God were content, there would already have existed oneness (God) and there would be no need to create a cheapknockoff (man). One is the loneliest number as we all know from the song smile.gif If you trace the origins of Christianity back to Mesopotamia, there are some cool creation myths that explain why God really created man... The Gods created man to do their manual labor, but men too were importal. Men then overpopulated the earth, and a giant flood was needed to wipe them all out. Then the Gods went back and fixed their mistake making man mortal.

There is a need for exhale after inhale because inhaling provides oxygen to drive the oxidation of carbon sources to CO2. Inhaling helps to evolve molecules, but the atoms already existed. Creation and evolution are very different. We understand one pretty well--the other is anyones guess.
