Going to try a new stack to help me focus/concentrate on my studies while improving mood/outlook.

L-dopa
EGCG
Quercetine
PEA

Any experiences / stories would be nice to hear. Also any recommended doses / cycle times from you brains out there would be appreciated.

Basically your opinion is wanted !!

O yeah one last thing I've been taking 5-HTP before bed time (Great vivid dreams btw, feels like I'm in REM sleep all night! I wake up feeling like Ive slept for days!!) how should that be taken with the above stack or should it not be? I cant really find any literature on what happens when mixing the two, all I've been able to see is that when dopamine goes up serotonin goes down so how would this work by trying to increase them both or probably not a good idea?

Thanks!

I would alternate L-Dopa one day, PEA, then nothing 3rd day.

Maybe 250mg L-Dopa in the morning with food. EGCG and quercitine daily.

5-HTP before bed should be fine as long as you are feeling food with it. Should be a nice bedtime comedown.

Maybe 250mg L-Dopa in the morning with food and a B-vitamine (especially B-6). EGCG and quercitine daily.

Thanks for the input!

I got my cycle today minus the PEA which I will receive tomorrow. So far I feel nothing taking the L-DOPA + EGCG + Quercetin. I took 240mg of L-DOPA at 12:00pm and now im taking another 120mg pill (4:05pm) to see if something happens. I'm wondering if perhaps my serotonin is to high from taking 5-htp all month and now dopamine and sertonin need to flip flop roles?

At any rate I'll take your advice about alternating the L-dopa and PEA and log the out come, I might even try a L-dopa + PEA day..hmmm.

You probably wont really feel anything. The only thing I notice from L-Dopa is an increased sex drive. PEA I basically feel nothing. This is ideal in my opinion. If you can feel it, it is probably too much.

The only way I notice obvious effects is by taking a MAOi at the same time, which I have found to be extremely dangerous smile.gif

Good point .

Perhaps "feeling" something was the wrong way to put it.

More so I'm hoping to "notice" an increase in focus and mood as compared to my normal ancey, edgy, anxious, flooded with "OMG i have to do something" self!!

Typically I have to be doing 10 things at once to feel calm and my mind satisfied with whats going on currently.

If I have only one thing to do my mind races with about 1 giga thoughts per second lol. Which is mostly counter productive because there are single things I need to do that takes total concentration and focus on whats at hand! But I cant : (

Ok tried 2 days on just the l-dopa 2 800mg pills in the morning (120mg l-dopa 15%) with a vitamin B6, 2xQuercetin, and 1 EGCG.

Nothing noticeable.

Today I tried usual stack but an hour later I included 1g of PEA and something was going on! Been in a better mood all day though the good mood feelings came in spurts, it wasn't necessarily constant. Will try this for a few more days then cycle off for a day or two.

Still looking for better means to motivate myself to want to start a singular task and be able to focus/concentrate on it for a good period of time. Still feel the urge to bounce from thing to thing to thing or do multiple things at once and change to multiple more things at once.

I was reading and came across an l-dopa supp that was 400mg with 15% l-dopa and the dose was 4-6 pills at a time. So i figured mine being 800mg @15% 3 pills would be the same as 6. So I took 4 cause i hate odd numbers!

Anywho I noticed yesterday that with the L-DOPA I didn't notice much of anything with my typical stack until I added 1g of PEA and it was pretty pleasant.

So today I decided to add 2g of PEA about an hour after consuming my 4 L-DOPA 800mg 15%. Roughly 30mins later it was beyond noticeable that something was firing up in my brain housing group. My entire body was tingling and colors were extremely pronounced. This affect lasted about 10-15min then the tingling subsided and colors were coming back to their normal focus.

I thought I'd go ahead and check my blood pressure during this time as I've read that PEA can raise it. My results were nothing short of normal (140/77) considering I had just drank a cup of coffee and ran up stairs to use the head.

Right now I'm in a particularly good mood and focused. My mind isn't contemplating a million things that I could be doing today. Instead I feel as though the present and future are one and I need only think about now.

Its been a couple days since last post.

Cycled off l-dopa and haven't noticed anything in terms of mood or focus faltering compared to when I was taking it.

Did however try a 2g dose of PEA today all by its lonesome and the affects were noticeable. Concentration, focus and mood elevated, tingling / numbing sensation throughout the body (euphoric I suppose).

Not sure what the long term benefits/harmful affects of l-dopa and PEA are in healthy adults, but its got me wondering.

Took up mindful mediation practices about a week ago as an alternate to improved focus/concentration. I do have to say in my short experience, mood, focus and concentration with mindful mediation are longer lasting then PEA LoL.

PEA has a really short half life unfortunately.

I would personally avoid using L-DOPA long term without reasonable regular breaks, for fear of building up cytosolic dopamine levels (which will oxidize). Also excessive L-DOPA conversion in the peripheral nervous system can be pretty damn annoying. I myself find I get neck and shoulder tension, as well as really restless legs...
