Hi,

I'm looking for an alternative to alcohol that has no side effects.

Specifically what I'm trying to recreate is:

Sense of relaxation and pleasant feeling
Lowered inhibitions increasing my self-confidence and ability to be outgoing

I usually drink several glasses of red wine when I'm going out, and enjoy these effects. However, for the entire next day my mental efficiency is much lower, stifling my ability to be creative and focussed.

Furthermore, I look physically worse, it negatively affects my skin and I feel a reduced level of health. I'm aware alcohol suppresses my immune system and has a negative impact on my endocrine system. I'm no longer prepared to compromise my health, creativity and appearance for the sake of a few drinks.

My question is thus:

Who has GOOD KNOWLEDGE of any alcohol alternatives that don't have such negative side effects?

I've done my research and it appears L-Theanine, Rhodiola Rosea and Kava Kava might be useful. But so many sites on the internet are just trying to sell these products, hence I'm ideally seeking an answer from someone who has first hand experience of trying these products.

Thank you for your assistance.

heavier stuff meaning that deprenyl is nearly contradictive of kava?

Theanine, ye wont do much if ur seeking altered states normally

gaba, bbb???

pica, supposedly works by crossing bbb...maybe synergestically?

Pea, nearly opposite of phenibut if not totally

deprenyl is a re-uptake inhibitor for pea, errrrrrr whatever it breaks into

last two are contradictory toward alcohol effects
