Hi everyone

I really need to know if someone's brain who is starving to death can be damaged. For example, someone got stucked in somewhere, like a cave and this person is 20 days without eating anything, just drinking minimun necessary of water to stay alive. The brain of this person can be damaged temporaly or permanently? The damage could make the person acts with the consciousness decreased?
Please, I need so much to know these things, and I'd appreciate if someone could explain me more about it.

Thank you.

PS: sorry for any english mistake, it's not my mother tongue.

Well, Bruno, I think you'd be interested in an article on "The Epoch Times dot com." Go to the "Science and Technology" category and then click the "Exploring Enigmas" in the drop down menu. The articles on the Indian Yogi Prahlad Jani should be very interesting to you; and pretty much anyone else on this site. There are many interesting articles on the site that deal with things science either can't, or is only beginning to be able to, explain... But mostly can't, ha ha.

the brain needs protein and other nutrients to thrive. the accounts of spiritual mystics and others who deprive themselves of food can certainly influence neurochemistry, but it is not generally a suitable practice for long-term brain health.
