I just had to escalate a dispute to a claim on paypal for an ebay item that was never received. This is my first time since 2002 when I first joined ebay and with hundreds of transactions. (I have 100% positive feedback).

I would be interested in other people's experiences with ebay and paypal (who are one, as it were). Good, bad, indifferent?

Very positive: 100% satisfaction. I've only made one transaction so far, though. The seller happened to live almost next door to me, out of any place else in the world. This made for smooth sailing all the way. I saw it in the news where this seller didn't deliver product after he got the money, and I was actually very surprised to see how heavy the arm of the law came down on him. He was booked for grand theft, finger-printed and the works. You must have made a transaction with an overseas party where maybe the laws are not well enforced.
