If you've seen it, what did you think? I wish I knew that story, in some form, earlier in life...
I liked it because it portrayed a strange story, related it to every human on earth, and simplified the whole picture. It made me think of how many people compare to each other, focus on themselves entirely, give up on life...when really all there was was to be happy with what you're doing, and to be the best you could(while there's such a huge number of paths possible with none being better than another); then you die...it sounds like a lot of stories, but the way that the characters helped to put it in a more graspable perspective.............that's what I enjoyed. Meaning for me: I have (and sometimes do still) get caught up in competition rather than my real focus...when I die, I hope to have enriched the value of my life(by following what I want to do exclusively) and to be a good memory or helpful in as many others lives as possible. It all may just sound like common sense, especially since most of you are ODB...but I have yet to see a person who is perfect at that. |

it's about a man who is born old (physically), and dies young(physically). I enjoyed the message I took from it the most, and I would recommend it to many.

I tried torrent once but couldn't figure out how it worked so I gave up and decided to stick with limewire except that it does not have very good movie selection options available for download.

I predict that, one day, it will be conventional to have (intimate) relationships with animals and even marriage to them. I just hope it won't be compulsory, at least in my lifetime - have you seen what else comes out of that end of most of them!

Like children, animals aren't able to have informed consent, so it will never be legal to abuse either.
The way the religious nuts act, one would think we liberals want to have compulsory gay marriage or compulsory abortion. They are the ones who are about compulsion! Ever notice how people who object to some behavior in others are the ones most likely to exhibit that very behavior themselves? |

Like children, animals aren't able to have informed consent, so it will never be legal to abuse either. As we are far off topic now (as usual?) ...This consent thing is an important issue. I didn't consent to Gordon Brown as PM but he became that. In fact only a small group of MPs "voted". As the equivalent of your President (forget the semantics), how would you feel about this? We don't consent to many things that are imposed upon us, some small and insignificant, but some big and life changing. I'd take a rams dick up the ass any day in preference to accepting Gordon Brown as my leader. (I do have the advantage that I only have sensation in half of my ass due to a neurological deficit.) And that is to do with the sly, devious way he became leader (partly the blame lies with Blare) and not his politics, cos that is another story. (If I could feel then other half of my ass I'd gladly take the Ram again, if his political manifesto would self combust.) |

Actually, projection is a neurotic symptom. One must both be accusatory and neurotic for the condition to apply, so I'm good. I can accuse with abandon.
