I've been taking alpha-GPC along with Piracetam and Vinpocetine, and occasionally Huperzine.

I take between 20-40 mg of alpha-gpc along with about 1.2 grams of piracetam, and 5mg vinpocetine.

If I take any more alpha-gpc than that, I get very anxious and my thoughts race uncontrollably.

My questions are -

1) Am I just sensitive to choline and need much less, and 20-40mg is all I need?

2) Or may it just be the alpha-gpc that I'm not reacting to very well?

3) Would other types of choline supplements have the same stimulating effect or could they be calmer?

I've been looking at CDP-choline, Centrophenoxine, choline citrate, bitrate etc.

Will all of these give me the same anxious, stimulating taken at higher doses? Or are the effects different for each one?

Cheers

I would keep it low on the choline, as it made me anxious myself. Why do you take the huperazine occasionally?

I only take it when I take something like Phenibut or Valium, to feel awake yet relaxed. If I take it alone it makes me feel anxious. I also take it at night for vivid/lucid dreaming, along with phenibut or a benzo.

I only use benzos 2-3 times a week to avoid tolerance buildup. But they go so well with huperzine... it's a very deeply relaxed, yet awake and aware state of mind.

I'd suggest you stay away from the benzos my friendl; I've gone down that road and it's really not worth it in the end.

Try a ladder of substances gradually down to life without drugs...along the way, I realized how life was just my choice of perspective

I have been using benzos recreationally for years, and have enough self-control not to become addicted.

But thanks for the suggestion.

Why not take huperizine more often? I also enjoyed the lucidity of benzos, although I've never taken with huperizine.

Choline citrate has the least side effects for effectiveness. If you experience anxiety still, just try a smaller dose and gradually increase along the way

It's way too stimulating for me (even at 200mcg). Perhaps I could go lower, but I've been reading it's not good to take every day. Whether or not this is true, I don't know, but I'm skeptical.

Does anyone know if Piracetam has any effect at all on cognition/memory, without the use of choline?

Long-term use of piracetam should have noticable effects. When i tried and tams, I didn't give them enough time to work(although I don't believe I needed the help in the first place) What is your main goal of taking supplements?

I've been using piracetam for around 2 years now and have noticed effects, but this has always been in combination with choline.

What I'm asking is, is the choline even needed? Will there be much benefit taking piracetam without choline?

I don't really have a main goal of taking supplements. They help me to think sharp, boost cognition and mood, improve memory, lower cortisol levels. I also want to prevent mental degradation and Alzheimer's disease. There's probably more I can't think of at the moment smile.gif

Offhand it sounds like bipolar disorder. I would probably replace Piracetam for a different nootropic better suited to you like Aniracetam. What mental effects do you want?

Bipolar? My mood is generally very balanced.

Effects? I'm looking for enhanced cognitive functioning and relaxation.

At the moment I am taking St. John's Wort liquid extract, ginkgo, relora, inositol, l-theanine, a bit of alpha-gpc, and piracetam. This stack has been the best yet for me. Also waiting on aniracetam.

So, by taking them all at once, how do you know what works and what doesn't?

I didn't assume that, it was simply a question. So, fill us in on the ani...u have a chance to turn a skeptic.

Rate your feelings 1-10. Do you have a limit?

Aniracetam is the only one out of the stack I haven't experimented with.

At the moment I feel like a 10. The meditation probably helped out a bit with that though.

Are you skeptical of any of these supplements?

only racetams, it may have been outside factors but I seemed tired on them. Then again, I felt optimal for the effects that they were made for already
