I mostly wanted to bring this topic up because lately I have been concerned about the way alcohol has been effecting me mentally. I wouldn't consider myself an abuser of it, but instead try to practice it in moderation. However, even though I only allow myself to indulge every once in a great while, my body still tends to react negatively, sometimes for several days. Brain fog, slurred speech, memory problems, trouble comprehending & expressing emotions are most of the unfortunate symptoms I seem to experience. I probably should mention that I have bipolar disorder, something I recently discovered by taking Rhodiola, (an herb that should be avoided by individuals with mood disorders) which I took originally to enhance my athletic performance. So I'm sure this is contributing to the symptoms I had mentioned. But I'm mostly curious about knowing if any certain vitamins/supplements/minerals/nootropics/amino acids/etc. taken prior to alcohol consumption are capable of providing neuro-support, which will enable protection and shield the brain from any damage alcohol may induce, especially for my case? Beforehand I did some research here on the BrainMeta forums and came across a fairly close topic similar to mine where LifeMirage suggested using Pyritinol, but unfortunately this is a compound that should be avoided for my condition. It'd be very much appreciated if anyone knowledgeable about this concern could share some advice.

Marijuana and b-vitamins.

I was a chronic alcoholic. For me (I was lucky) trying Naltrexone stopped my drinking (and cravings) dead in their tracks about 7 years ago.

Marijuana is supposed to be neurologically protective against alcohol, google it.

Warning: If you consume Marijuana, consume it 60 minutes BEFORE drinking, and take it easy.
