A message via Michael .
![]() It looks like that Ms. Calypso is going to punish the Pirates from Bones & Skulls. Hmmm, Gustav, Gustav what a familiar name? Oh, high Kids, how are you doing? Honestly I do not stand behind the hurricane, all objections to Ms. Calypso. QUOTE Moore Under Fire for Saying Gustav Proof ‘There Is a God’ by FOXNews.com Saturday, August 30, 2008 Louisiana Rep. Steve Scalise is calling on liberal filmmaker Michael Moore to apologize after he said Friday that the timing of Hurricane Gustav is “proof that there is a God in heaven,†since the storm approaching the Gulf Coast could disrupt next week’s Republican National Convention. Moore made the remarks to MSNBC’s Keith Olbermann. Republicans have been monitoring the storm’s progress, considering whether to postpone their convention in St. Paul, Minn., if the storm wreaks havoc on the New Orleans area, just three years after Hurricane Katrina. “I was just thinking, this Gustav is proof that there is a God in heaven,†Moore said. “To just have it planned at the same time, that it would actually be on its way to New Orleans for Day One of the Republican convention, up in the Twin Cities, at the top of the Mississippi River.†Scalise released a statement Saturday blasting the documentary filmmaker for the remarks. “I demand an immediate apology from Michael Moore to the people of south Louisiana for his offensive and inappropriate comments,†said Scalise, a Republican. “People in Louisiana, regardless of political affiliation, are making plans to leave to protect their families from this serious storm, and the God I know would not share Michael Moore’s glee for our plight.†Residents of New Orleans and the surrounding area have to started to evacuate, while the storm strengthened to a Category 4 hurricane. Moore seemed to back off his statement on air Friday, later saying, “I mean I certainly hope nobody gets hurt. I hope everybody’s taking cover.†|

Did someone find god whilst I was away on holidays? Damn, always happens when I'm away! You know I made interesting comments about Mr. Indra and Mr. Osiris in the legendary Magic Mushrooms topic. I think you shall like that (Post #421, page 15 begins: "Gentlemen why we talk so much. Let us pass to the facts.", Jul 10, 2008, 08:08 AM ): http://brainmeta.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=15357&st=420 And pay attantion to the comment over ABRAXAS as well. The Storm abated. If the next be called Moa instead of Gustav that will be pretty hilarious.

Michael Moore was using humor, as he usually does, to make a point. It's a lot less tasteless than seriously praying for rain on President Obama's speech.

Gentlemen, I am really impressed by the name of the next Hurricane ...
![]() Ike ignites into 'extremely dangerous' Category 4 hurricane http://edition.cnn.com/2008/WORLD/weather/...anna/index.html MIAMI, Florida (CNN) -- Hurricane Ike grew from a Category 1 into a menacing Category 4 storm in about six hours Wednesday as it fed on the warm waters of Atlantic, the National Hurricane Center said. "Ike is an extremely dangerous Category 4 hurricane" with 135-mph sustained winds, the center said in its 11 p.m. ET advisory. Although it is likely to lose some strength during the next few days, Ike is forecast to regain Category 4 status by Monday, the center said. |

Hurricane Ike Strengthens to Category 4, Raises Fears From Caribbean to Gulf
http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,418142,00.html Saturday, September 06, 2008 KEY WEST, Fla. — "Extremely dangerous" Hurricane Ike grew to fierce Category 4 strength Saturday as it roared on an uncertain path that forced millions from the Caribbean to Florida, and Louisiana to Mexico, to nervously wonder where it would eventually strike. Preparations stretched more than 1,000 miles as the massive, 135-mph storm took a southwesterly shift that could send it over Cuba near the Florida Keys sometime Monday before heading into the warm open waters of the Gulf of Mexico. And once again, a possible target was New Orleans and the already storm-weary U.S. Gulf Coast. |

'Extremely dangerous' Ike pounds Turks and Caicos
http://www.cnn.com/2008/WORLD/weather/09/0...cane.ike.carib/ MIAMI, Florida (CNN) -- Hurricane Ike struck the Turks and Caicos Islands as a Category 4 storm late Saturday night with winds near 135 mph, according to the National Hurricane Center in Miami, Florida. The outer bands of the storm brought fierce, palm-bending winds and a scattering of rain to the British crown colony that had already been pummeled this week for four days by Tropical Storm Hanna. "People are losing roofs by the second," said Audley Astwood, a reporter at a radio station in Grand Turk said. "Close to 50 percent of the homes on Grand Turk have been destroyed or lost roofs." In fact, Astwood said his own home lost its roof and his family was huddled in a bathroom. Power was out over the whole island of Grand Turk, he said. |

Very strange...
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grand_Turk_Island Grand Turk Island is an island in the Turks and Caicos Islands. It is the largest island in the Turks Islands (not the Caicos) with 18 square kilometres. It contains the territory's capital, Cockburn Town. The island is the administrative, historic, cultural and financial centre of the territory, and has the second largest population of the islands at approximately 3,720 people. Grand Turk gained international attention in 1962 when John Glenn's Friendship 7 Mercury spacecraft landed in the vicinity of Grand Turk Island off the southeast shoreline. A replica of the Friendship 7 is on display in Grand Turk at the entrance to the Grand Turk Island airport[1]. The name comes from a species of cactus on the island, the Turk's Cap Cactus (_Melocactus intortus_), which have a distinctive cap, reminiscient of a Turkish fez. It is said to possibly be the landfall island of Christopher Columbus during his discovery of the New World in 1492.[citation needed] San Salvador Island or Samana Cay in the Bahamas is traditionally considered the site of Columbus' first landfall, some believe that studies of Columbus' journals show that his descriptions of Guanahani much more closely fit Grand Turk than they do other candidates. |

Can you imagine how much US can save in dollars if Hurricanes matter can be negotiated with the Upper Beings?!
Can you imagine how many dish washing machines one Hurricane costs? Hurricanes are known from the old times, once a Hurricane saved England from Spanish Armada. At those times possibly much respect was paid to Ms. Calypso I guess. |

I still wonder who gives those names to the Hurricanes? A computer in a Random way? Isn't Google wonderful? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tropical_cyclone_naming Yes Google is a wonderful thing, but it does not clarify who makes the choice: Gentlemen or a Computer. At first glance it looks like that the choice was made by Gentlemen following some rules. I read somewhere, that in Alchemical Wars Rick such unimportant details are important information, esp. when so many human lives are depending on whirls in air: on bifurcations... Who knows, maybe it will gain category 5 in a time. Things happen. The question is why they happen. And certainly if it gain category 6 or 7 that will be an extremely improbable event (as I never heard about category 6 and 7) but hardly that will help you to consider that as ‘credible evidence’. ![]() |

The human mind has a tendency to read meaning into patterns into which no meaning was implanted. Knowing this helps to keep one somewhat immune to delusion.

I fully agree with you, indeed. But sometimes we may encounter with specific coincidences which may reveal interesting regularities inclining us to make outstanding discoveries about the true essence of the things. Science is a great quest. Certainly we should avoid delusions.

I still wonder who gives those names to the Hurricanes? A computer in a Random way? Isn't Google wonderful? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tropical_cyclone_naming Yea, it's wonderful. But I'm begining to worry a little bit about their seemingly boundless ambition. The word "monopoly" is already bouncing around amongst goverment internet regulators' circles. I for one decided against downlowding their "BETA" toolbar software, and they already stopped offering it to me. I decided to stick with MSN for now. |

Ohhh people of Texas, a huge hurricane is coming upon your land. Rick likes to quote Freud that sometimes cigar is just a cigar. But hurricane is not just a hurricane, it is something more than hurricane.
And in this particular case you are unprotected. Run! Just an advice. |
