This is a forum about the human brain so I think i'm at the right place to suggest to start a topic about this.

@ Joesus

I might have gotten of track there, I allready had a nice explanation of Trojan Libido about the relation of CERN and god, so I kinda picked up where we left the discussion before.

It does not bother me what others think of me, more the opposite, but the thing that bothers me is that a discussion about god/religion is still taboo in many cultures, for example in my own family/friends ring: talking about something and the word god pops up in almost all sentences of the conversations, I say something like: Dude, i'm not religious, god for me don't exist or has nothing to do with life, death etc. they directly say: don't say that your a muslim!, so it continues for a while then I give up, (in there believes I remain a muslim no matter what) it's like talking to a wall because they cannot accept that someone just don't believes in god. another example: Once in a while, 'followers of jesus/christianity' comes at the door or stops me in the city, they ask there question, and I say: Dude, no interest i'm not religious, they say: why not? god is the light and jesus could be your savior! me: seriously, no interest and still they try/manage to put a piece of paper in my hands. If I said: Dudes, f!@k off u religious freaks and there only will be a matter of hours before hell breaks lose.

So, for me the question remains: Am I ignorend because I don't say f@!k off or is someone else ignorend for trying to convert (or hardly/not accepting) that someone is just not religious?

For most people religion is more fashion then a spiritual journey trough live!

Still, you have to allow for personal choice, even if it never fails in bringing unwanted opinions and loud expression, lest you give up your choice and the ability to express it.

If you don't want to be bothered there is such a thing as preventing suffering before it occurs in finding the means to avoid conflict and opinion by live in a way that doesn't put you in the path of those kind of people.
I find that if you don't want to exchange ideas or to listen, don't engage.

If you just can't live in a world where this exists then I suppose you have options.
I personally would find a way to embrace it.

What you put your attention on grows, or what you resist persists.
