I'm looking for publications on using associations between sensory modalities in order to
  • inform focus of attention.
  • form "memories".
  • filter out unimportant sensor readings.
  • couple coordination with vision.

I know this idea isn't new. But having a hard time finding actual pubs. Thanks.
