Hello! I have a question: what effect do listed below mediators have on the eeg? I mean endogenous and exogenous production of them.
-adrenaline/noradrenaline -dophamine -glycine -PEA (phenylethylamine) -serotonin -oxytocine/vasopressine and other neuropeptides. Maybe you can advice me some books/articles on this topic, I'll be very thankful. |

EEG measures the sum of activity of postsynaptic neurons. you can have neurotransmitters that are excitatory like dopamenergic to give EPSP and inhibitory signals such as GABA, CL- that will give IPSP Inhibitory postsynaptic signals. |
