Hi Psiloman, welcome to our humble board.

I like your style, I look forward to many discussions with you soon  :)

Is the P on your name silent or are you like p. siloman?

Laz  :)

Nice meeting you Laz  :D

I found this BB by pure luck, looking around in the web for neurochemistry issues! I checked the boards and i liked the overal style. What stroke me as amazing, is the no flaming policy which seems to be working! Hmmm, maybe all the abuse happens in that padded room  ;D ;D ;D

ohmy.gif Asking about the phonetics of my name eh? The P is not pronounced at least not in English phonetics of my nick. The PSILO part is pronounced as some bemushroomed seekers would say PSILO  ;). I wished i owned my own silo...

Hope our conversations will be amusing, fruitfull and and rewarding wink.gif

Welcome dear and new friend, with all my heart.

Flaming is tasteless, ignorant and cruel.  I do not care for such churlishness round hereabouts.  I am glad you feel free here.  I usually let flaming fall of its own pathetic, self-inflated weight, and the flamers fall into the excrement of their own ignorance, to drown face down, ne'er to be found again.

One key factor is the general intelligence level of our forum; our members are quite intelligent.  When some fool blunders in with some sort of self-indulgent crap, as has happened once or twice, we generally shake our heads in pity and move on, stepping carefully round the embarrassment of stupidity like a dog-job on the sidewalk.  Usually it is a thirteen year-old with serious psychological problems, crying out for pity.  Civility is highly prized among us.

Do I digress?
Well I guess!

What I mean to say is--and I have said it before but I say it again--welcome among us with all my heart; we are very much the richer for your having come to be among us here.

We have the loveliest, dearest, wittiest, and altogether most delightful people here I know.

Have fun!

We do!

I am in unbreakable solidarity with you, always!

That is what i call a warm welcome!Thank you +Steven Curtis Lance (quite of a mouthfull of a name!).

Couldnt agree with you more on the flaming issue.Put quite simply, when flaming sets in in-flammation and dis-ease settles...And this leaves no room for conversation. After all our species is known to be "the only species with the gift of thought and logic" TM on the planet.Wouldnt be wise proving that wrong ,would it?

And by the way, what does the latin inscription mean in your signature? If i am corect you wrote a poem with that title as well! (I have no knowledge of latin unfortunatelly)

See you around and keep up the poetry  ;)

Thank you very much.  Indeed it is a mouthful of a name, the burden of history, I am afraid.

If you are referring to AMO ERGO SUM, it is a variant on Rene Descartes's famous COGITO ERGO SUM, the difference being that instead of my postulating that "I think therefore I am," I postulate and believe and hold that "I love therefore I am."

My reason for this is that I never felt existence, being, life, the way I do now that I love; it is as though my life were divided into periods which might be marked Before Love and After Love, or Without Love and With Love.

I love therefore I am!

AMO ERGO SUM

A pretty girl makes all, all, all the difference.

You can just call me +Steven, and I will be honored to be called friend.

Oh, and by the way, the "fiat lux" in the spell simply means "let there be light."

Well friend,
Thanks for the info on the latin phrase.Indeed, "all you need is love".Beatles sung it,that Jesus guy was raving about it , but i never understood it until i first felt it ,both receiving it and emmanating it.

Maybe thats why a dog can be mans best friend...It offers unconditional love (well, quite out of topic but i happen to love dogs alot, they have their way of expressing emotion)

Just for the anecdotal record: Once i was walking in the street i met the infamous "madman" of my area.He was telling to passers-by by that "Life is the lottery",holding random embarrased/confused folks and repeating that over and over. When i passed by him (he didnt know me) he told me "Life is the lottery" and then wishpered in my ear "Love is the key".It sent shivers down my spine...this guy really did make up for all the nasty stuff that i encountered the past month and gave me a perma-smile.Later ,i got to know him better and i found out that he is not pathologically mad...he is drunk on love.

Moral of the story? I have got only one life i know about, and id better spend it loving.Being high on love...

Anyway, enough of my ramblings, its nightime here and melatonine in my brain makes me more prone to philosophize...Friend,i just found out that since i read your first reply on my post i have that permasmile....

Now isnt that magical,or am i just high on a previously stranger's, now +steven friend's love?
