QUOTE Is Inderal good for social anxiety? Also known as Propranolol. Yes it can an effective tool. QUOTE It blocks ur brain from having too much epinephrine... Not quite. It blocks the action of epinephrine on both beta1- and beta2-adrenergic receptors, thereby helping to prevent an Adrenaline surge. QUOTE but some drugs enhance epinephrine (and norepinephrine) for stimulation purposes... Yes. QUOTE would inderal make you non-stimulated? When under a Adrenaline induced event it can help. QUOTE what's the difference between norepinephrine and epinephrine?? thanks! Both are considered hormones and neurotransmitters (catecholamines). While they both play similar roles, epinephrine (also called adrenaline) which is made from norepinephrine by methylation has the greater role in the body as opposed to the brain. Norepinephrine (which is made when Dopamine under goes β- oxidation) helps regulate attention and impulsivity. Many ADD drugs focus on effecting Norepinephrine. |
