Ok, all the mind power enthusiasts out there must have known about the levels or states of our consciousness namely alpha, beta, theta etc. Jose Silva and other meditation techniques advocate visualising in alpha state of mind. Now, I am interested to know how can we achieve that state. Can you describe the method elaborately? Has anyone ever tried doing it? What about the results -- were you satiesfied with them? I would love to hear you guys.

You achieve alpha state many times each day, when you day dream, fantasise ect. Alpha state is achievable through hypnosis, meditation, visualization as well as many technological methods. Some methods of achieving alpha state through technology are binaural beats, magnetic pulses and audible sound with a ultrasonic carrier wave. Binaural beats are the easiest and a good program can be downloaded for free at www.bwgen.com then you just put on headphones and vowala! alpha state (8-12 hz)

E.g. listening this music (see attached) you can see the chap Horus at nights.

But I strongly do not recommend listening it to anyone. laugh.gif

Do you know what Peak Experiences are?
The psychologist Abraham Maslow, who was a pioneer in studying the positive aspects of human psychology, defined them. He wrote, "These moments were of pure, positive happiness, when all doubts, all fears, all inhibitions, all tensions, all weaknesses were left behind. Now self-consciousness was lost. All separateness and distance from the world disappeared..." These experiences are rare, but can come at any unpredictable time and completely transform life. People have adopted whole new belief systems from one single taste beyond the veil of the senses. These experiences have a curative power.
This kind of perfect harmony in brain wave patterns is also found in small infants when they are nursing, in pets when they are being petted and in adults when they are experiencing expansion of consciousness. What is being measured is a mind that is still, a mind that is in the present moment, not caught by regret for the past or worry for the future.
A mind that is working like this is creating a healthy body. Your body is already spewing out millions of chemical reactions every second. When your mind is tense, anxious, nervous, your body responds by producing tense, anxious, nervous molecules like adrenaline and noradrenaline. When your mind is calm and peaceful, your body produces calm and peaceful molecules like Valium. Your body is already producing chemicals similar to any that your friendly neighborhood pharmacist will give you, but without the side effects. When your body produces Valium, it makes you feel tranquil but without also making you feel like a zombie. When your body produces anti-cancer drugs or anti-bacteria drugs, these drugs have no side effects. The body does this absolutely naturally, in the right amount at the right time, ideally suited for the correct target organ, and all the instructions are included in the packaging. Your body does this completely spontaneously for you when it is not stressed.
How do we unstress the body? How do we keep new stresses from accumulating? How do we learn to maintain inner peace and tranquility in the face of the hectic pace of the modern world? How do we learn to stop undermining ourselves with destructive internal programs? How do we learn to expand our minds to our full potential?

This is the introduction to Meditation techniques such as Transcendental Meditiation and Ascension. Yoga is meditation or the joining of the body and mind in a neutral space such as the absolute. Yoga asanas are physical postures but without the ability to take the mind inward naturally if there is any effort at all in maintaining the physical position.
There has been research of the brain wave activity to determine the affects of meditation . Hooking electroencephalographic leads onto the brain, onto the temporal, parietal and occipital lobes of the left and right hemispheres, when one is awake in normal activity the brainwaves are chaotic and random.
In contrast to this, during certain types of meditation such as TM or Ascension, the entire surface of the cortex becomes completely coherent.
The body and mind settles into a deep state of rest, the body heals itself by throwing off toxins and accumulated physical stress as it does in sleep but does not take 6 hours to reach a state to begin the process. As one continues to make a practice of meditation the state of coherence becomes the natural state of mind rather than that of the random brain wave patterns before meditation.

Hope you enjoy Brain Wave Generator dinnie, ive used it for a long time and its been a great tool.

Trancendal meditation is a ripoff, regular meditation can achieve this, regular yoga wont achieve the alpha state, hatha yoga will but its hard to find someone to teach you it in North America. Hypnosis works to, their is a simple self-hypnosis induction method, if you want the easy self-hypnosis method just say so and ill type it up for you.

Don't know why Maximus but I have always regarded Hypnosis with some amount of suspicion. I would prefer meditation. What's the difference between Simple and Transcendental Meditation?

Yes indeed. The portal opens immediately. laugh.gif I recommended you not to listen that 'music' again and do not eat any kind of cheese (even pizza containing cheese) for 14 days. Instead drink two cups of good tea with lemon during that 14 days.

In case if you see something specific in dreams, or if after a dream you will open your eyes and observe him standing nearby do not get afraid. Just snap one's fingers and he will disappear.

Better to be a scientist rather than use without knowledge those specific techniques. I intentionally attached this wav file to show you that the things you are looking for can be really scary.

Your suggestions on not eating cheese made me laugh. Thanks anyway!
As for the music, it does appear scary at first, but I have heard this type of music a lot many times. I did listen to your music a second time and did not find it mystifying anymore. And nah, I haven't had any nightmares since that. Oh, come on, I am not a kid. Hah!

I just was giving a funny advice.

Trancendal meditation takes your money and gives you a lot of nothing, normal meditation seeks to help you.

L-Theanine increases alpha-waves, it is especially useful when combined with meditation.

Two apples and two pears a day is supposed to help as they contain boron.

I'm pretty sure tea is good as well.

Shakti brain stimulation may help too -

I don't think so, I think what Enki is implying is that higher states of awareness naturally connect you to what Enki calls the natural state of being the Tea club.
Resonance to emotional states and personal value. Like attracts like, etc. etc.

In this case a mechanical device that alters the brain waves to align with cohesive mental efficiency and upward spiraling creativity.

Crystals are known to be a good tool for attaining such states, not sure which one's increase alpha waves but self-healed quartz has worked wonders in my experience. Hold them as much as possible for best results. The longer the less kooky the whole crystal thing appears wink.gif

Self-Healed DT Quartz

Self-Healed Tangerine Quartz

Phenacite Crystal

Pink Tourmaline

Azurite Clusters

These babies radiate good energy.

By being aware of our breath, its quality changes naturally, and breath regulates the brain waves.
