I guess they can't change the proxy ips due to administrative rules. They must be administrators. So they need to get access first. Which means that they must get the password legally or hack it.

This is the point.

this is so stupid i hate schools, does anyone have any idea how to change the admisistrative options barring internet options? because without that i cant use ips. and that sucks

you must hack cause there's no way they'll give you their password

Guys... picture this out, if you're accessing it through your school chances are it will still go through their firewall..

I think what you should need is to bypass the firewall. Search the net there are freewares for it.

Hey guys. The babelfish and other translators worked for a little while, but then they blocked that, too. Any proxy with the letters P R O X in it's name are blocked. The only one that works is some facebook site or some crap like that but it doesnt do myspace, only backwater sites. Now, I've looked over many forums and I've tried all of your suggestions above but it wont work. Any Ideas?

Do school work at school, and wait 2 hrs to get home to go on myspace--school really isn't that bad...The only other alternative I can come up with~

What school is in session for 2 hours?
What school that "kids" go to, that is.

Look guys. Some people are able to use the "Internet Options" to change the IP Proxy. However, if your administrator has taken away the use of the "Internet Options" buttone here's a couple of things you can try.

First, try using a proxy website. This is incredibly easy to use, but on the other hand it is incredibly easy for them to detect and block.

Second. Most any school computers run "Internet Explorer" as the default web browser. Since that is the one they operate with, they have complete control over it in the "Administrative Settings" So here's what you should do.

Get a USB flash drive, floppy disk, or compact disc and install another web browser onto it. Remember, schools may be able to take away the ability to install new items. So you NEED to install the program into your USB/memory device. Here's how to do it.

Lets say you want to download Mozilla Firefox. When you download it, click "save as" when you do this change the save path so that is saves on your device not you desktop.

Go to your device and find the EXE file. From there you click install or whatnot. When it asks you where you would like to install it, it will default to Program Files. You need to change the install path so that is installs into your USB. So you're going to go to Computer, then find the USB click on the folder in the USB that you set up and let it install

Now, you're almost done. Because your school has no control over you plugging in your USB device they cannot stop you from using mozilla!! However, school computers only connect to the internet through a web proxy. So, using mozilla you go to Tools-Options-Advanced- Network-Connection Settings. After you've reached this you need to select "Manual Proxy Configuration"

You will NOT need to select anything but " h-ttp: proxy" You will need to find your own proxy number it will look something like this 124.217.228.200 this goes in the first box. The one labeles "Port" almost always defaults to 8080 so simply type 8080 into "Port"

If you've done everything correctly enjoy your free browsing!!
Remember, some 8080 proxies will not work or will work very slowly. Make sure you find a reliable one!

on Internet Explorer, go to Tools:Internet Options:Connections:LAN Settings and enter in proxy IP and port.

On Firefox and other browsers you can do something similar.
