Liberation from the confines of mind, has been tried for at least two millennia, and proven to be a Sisyphean task, as the respective undertakings tend to add to the complexity of mind.
Since the beginning of the twentieth century, mind is apparently able to liberate itself through Self-realisation.

Since the Self creates all.. Self realization as you described it, is basically a non sequitur.

Self realization is a relative term for an external event which is created by the eternal SELF. Mind as Self doesn't create something relative to it's internal qualities without first having those qualities.

Meaning the external event is an external change, or a change in a point of view, of what already exists.

Moksha or liberation, has been a part of mankind since mankind has existed. Which is basically forever. It didn't simply spring up as an event or concept in the 20th century.

Mind does not only experiment with sensory data, but obviously with itself (whatever that is) as well - see philosophies, religions, arts, etc.

It is an option, or variation, first published in "Liber Al vel Legis" (1904)

Mind should be at liberty to do as it will.

Mind is not something strange; it might be treated strangely, and even be mistreated, but these are symptoms of self-estrangement - after all mind is one-self.

Self is the core and coordinate of mind Will & Love is the force of Self.
