The Bible. Myth or Reality?

As a Gnostic Christian I see literal reading of the Bible as a gross distortion of what the Bible was written to do. That being to inspire people to seek God and his best laws and rules. Literal readers just become idol worshipers and do not seek God the way Jesus instructed.

Literal reading has created and idol worshiping closed minded people who have settled for an immoral God whom we name as a demiurge as his morals, if literally true, are more satanic than God like.

Literal reading has also created a climate where scholars and experts, historians and archeologist, and all the academically well accepted information they uncover, --- is being ignored or called lies by those who are not academics of the various disciplines.

What is the point of producing good academics if literalists are going to ignore facts because of blind faith?

Remember please that if not a book of myths, then real talking serpents are somehow supposed to still exist and believers have to believe in a lot of supernatural phenomenon without any evidence whatsoever. Literalist Christians, it seems to me, have suspended rational judgement that has created in Christians a new Dark Age of thought and an Inquisitional attitude towards all other thinking. They no longer seek God and are true idol worshipers instead of the God seekers that Jesus wanted to see.

Do you think the Bible to be a book of myths or a book trying to show reality and history?

Since the bible is only an assemblage of historical precepts, it is designed to play a role as a guide to understanding Christian philosophy as it both precedes the birth of Christ and his ministry, and followed the lineage of philosophical and scientific teachings predicting his coming. It (the bible) was edited and augmented in the 4th century to focus on ideals that would facilitate the ruling dynasty of visionaries claiming to have sole access to the truths previously written within scripture as well as the ministry of Christ.

If you read eastern philosophy it correlates with western translations of the bible and you can find truths that are similar. If you understand the philosophy, its easy enough to weed out the illusions perpetrated by religion and the deliberate intention to take universal truth and reduce it to a belief system.

All i can tell you is that Gnosticism is the only thing that makes logical sense, as Atheism, & non-Gnostic religions do not make as much sense. If what makes sense is also what is true, then the fact is, this was a mistake universe that activated darkness, was created by Evil, and the reason why it hasnt been destroyed yet is because at the level at which dark matter and dark energy could be expanded to destroy this universe, only hours past there where billions of years past here. God didnt waste any time and IS destroying this evil reality and evacuating anyone who can be evacuated.

Supposing Gnosticism is true, then Jesus saying choose eternal life and be saved to the kingdom of heaven, is actually the evacuation sequence to get those who can exist in harmony and light out of here ... hell and the fiery like would then be the beings who cant be evacuated are transmuted and recycled, death of their soul. Christ Consciousness would be in play as a universal concept for all beings all planets, not just any one savior called Christ. The bibles Adam would be the Adam Kadom, term for the humanoid form that exists throughout space time, not just on Earth.... also god saying adam sinned and is dead and all his children will be dead, is the artificially created consciousness mixing with real divine consciousness that was entrapped at the formation of this mistake-bastard-universe ... and the cleansing and forgiving of sin would be evacuating us even though we are part the artificial consciousness that was created with this universe....

thats if Gnosticism is all true, that would be bible translated to Gnostic Truth.,

like the Deep Space Nine episode 'Playing God'

Then again, is it true that the paradigm hat makes the most sense and looks the most true is the right one thats actually the case?

Its been said that the evil demiurge that ran this place has already been executed, and the only thing left is to evacuate you can be and finish collapsing this universe.

I agree with your first and see Gnostic Christianity as a bridge between belief and non-belief and about the only possible middle ground between belief and non-belief.

That is only a role that can be filled by a Universalist belief that had to find a way to accept all people regardless of belief.

We are definitely what I call a true religion but many religionists do not agree.

Most think that we lost the God wars to Christianity but we have not.

We chose a moral God instead of the genocidal son murderer.

I believe the topic of conversation is in regards to its content and the beliefs surrounding the content. I'm sure no one believes the bible is a myth, since the stupidity surrounding the fanaticism of its believers is well documented in the history of its existence.
