This is from an email that I shared with a few friends recently. Throughout my research, I've been performing informal periodic "peer reviews" of the material. Once their knowledge base has been built up a little bit, most people see the connections immediately.

Magnetism is just one example of many things that I've assembled in the course of my research that prove the "inter-connectedness" of all that we know.

Remember when I told you that I was doing some research into the origins of mankind and of our history. The Physics of Consciousness, Holographic/Holonomic Brain Theory and DNA 'Music' is only a small part of that research. This stuff also ties into such topics as ancient history, ante-deluvian history, and the origins of mankind as well as the rise and fall of civilizations. Thus, where you live also affects your consciousness...with the concrete and steel jungles of our cities - and all of the electrical wiring/electro-magnetic fields therein -having an entirely different effect upon a person's consciousness - lifestyle and cultural differences aside. In fact, those 'citified' lifestyle and cultural differences may be due in no small part to all of the concrete and steel that affects the earth's magnetic field on a local and regional level (documented on geomagnetic maps) which will have an effect upon the consciousness and health of the local population.

In assembling a comprehensive timeline of mankind's history as a part of my own research (more than three thousand pages in length) I think that I may have stumbled upon something that may bear further research. It will be several months before I am finished with this timeline, but even at this point, when I see a particularly violent volcano in one part of the earth's surface, I see a change in the behavior of a culture or a society in a region totally and distantly removed from the region of the volcano, impact, major earthquake, etc., etc... Sometimes the end result of that change in the culture/society is positive, sometimes it is quite destructive... it is, however - each and every part of it - quite measurably cyclic, if not periodic in nature. You can't set your watch by it, but you can almost set your calendar by it.

In other words, at this point, my research seems to indicate that anything that affects earth's magnetic field will also affect the health and consciousness of every nation and of every man, woman and child upon the planet, AND of every living thing on earth, either for good or ill. Global Warming, so-called, is even a part of this, and easily explained...and mankind, although a minor contributor to global warming, is not the causative agent. It is a perfectly cyclical phenomenon. Even recorded and tradition and mainstream history taught at your local college and university shows it to be so. As an example, they often reference "min-ice ages" but the opposite is seldom directly addressed: "mini" global warming ages. The cycle of mini ice ages and mini global warming ages is approximately five hundred years. Larger changes occur approximately every fifteen hundred to seventeen hundred years, and at three thousand to thirty-six hundred years and at ten to twelve thousand years, and so on and so forth. It is all quite measurably cyclic.

Keep in mind that everything within the electromagnetic spectrum is "cyclic." There are peaks and valleys in the waves that they all produce.

Now...something else to consider...

Keep in mind also that every body in the solar system has an electro-magnetic field and a gravity "field," however weak or strong. ...every planet, every moon... and each and every star and galaxy...

Thus "predestination," for each of those fields changes our circumstances and our understanding of our own surroundings, for they impact and change our consciousness.

Everything that surrounds us puts forth and emits a measurable magnetic field, and thus plays its own ‘musical’ note or vibration (resonance). Each atom, molecule, each plant, each article of clothing, each bite of food that you eat, each person and animal and insect that you interact with....has its own personal magnetic field and ‘musical’ note.

Where "free will" comes into play is how we react to those influences by what we say and do and even by what we think. (keeping in mind that we are influenced by the fields and “music” that surround us.) This also includes the intent of our words and actions. Our intent being our consciousness at the time that we speak a word or form a thought. So when we say that someone "has a magnetic personality"...it is only truth. When we say, "I don't know what happened, but we just clicked right off the bat" and "It's not that they aren't a nice person...I just can't stand to be around them." hmm... Now, there seems to be an explanation, aside from hormones, shampoos and seasonal trends in clothing.

Now, I am well aware that the dogmatic skeptics will never accept any of this as true. Those are the kinds of individuals who will argue with you about the color of a red rose. Then there's the dogmatic believers, those who believe anything for any reason at all, will take some of the material that I share and force it to fit their own ideology...while completely ignoring anything that disagrees with their personal philosophy and ideology. That's called pathological science. Now, I know that other factors are involved in changes in cultures and in societies...but when a peaceful change becomes violent...and there is an impact event, a solar maximum, a gamma ray burst, a large earthquake or a violent volcano impacting the earth's magnetic field at or near the same time... or when a potentially violent change in a culture suddenly becomes some sort of a renaissance... there may be a relationship that is hard to dismiss. Now, I need to see if different types of events effect different changes. i.e does an impact event on one side of the earth always have the same effect on the consciousness of people on the opposite side of the earth, climatic and geologic changes aside? Does a major volcanic eruption have a different effect upon mankind's consciousness than the effect of an impact event? Does a large CME event produce an entirely different effect than any other event? Althought he effects of major natural catastrophes on our consciousness may exhibit similar properties, I presently think that the evidence will support that conclusion.

Substrate Binding to DNA Photolyase Studied by Electron Paramagnetic Resonance Spectroscopy

Structural changes in Escherichia coli DNA photolyase induced by binding of a (cis,syn)-cyclobutane pyrimidine dimer (CPD) are studied by continuous-wave electron paramagnetic resonance and electron-nuclear double resonance spectroscopies, using the flavin adenine dinucleotide (FAD) cofactor in its neutral radical form as a naturally occurring electron spin probe. The electron paramagnetic resonance/electron-nuclear double resonance spectral changes are consistent with a large distance ( 0.6 nm) between the CPD lesion and the 7,8-dimethyl isoalloxazine ring of FAD, as was predicted by recent model calculations on photolyase enzyme-substrate complexes. Small shifts of the isotropic proton hyperfine coupling constants within the FAD's isoalloxazine moiety can be understood in terms of the cofactor binding site becoming more nonpolar because of the displacement of water molecules upon CPD docking to the enzyme. Molecular orbital calculations of hyperfine couplings using density functional theory, in conjunction with an isodensity polarized continuum model, are presented to rationalize these shifts in terms of the changed polarity of the medium surrounding the FAD cofa

Certain experimental work in the non-conventional area of new energy has also demonstrated the possible coupling of torsion fields to electromagnetic field configurations. Notable among these are the Hutchison lift and disruption effect [15], topological alteration of vacuum field impedance by caduceus coils which is sustained even when the coil is turned off [16], Chernetsky's discovery of self-generating discharge in plasmas [17], the anomalous inertial effects evident with the Biefield-Brown effect [18] and the Rudolf Zinsser apparatus [19], etc.
Moreover, the works of T. Bearden [20], H. Bateman [21], V. DeSabbata and M. Gasperini [22], as well as others, have specifically focused on the codification of novel electromagnetic waves that might actually signify a coupling to torsion fields. Along the same lines, the existence of both super-luminal and sub-luminal helically-polarized electromagnetic waves has been experimentally verified by W. Rodriques and J.Y. Lu [23] and R. Kiehn [24]. Unlike standard Hertzian radiation, one important feature of these spiral waves is a longitudinal field component. This, in turn, implies a non-zero value for the Lorentz Field Invariants [25] (i.e., E Dot B Not-Equal-To 0, which is also the case for another type of unique EM wave in which the E and B vectors are parallel [26]. This latter E // B wave has been realized in the "twisted mode" technique for obtaining uniform energy density in a laser cavity [27]).

3. Protein molecules - ferments.

As everybody knows, ferments and their substrates participating in biochemical processes have property to acquire spin polarization and pass to the excited state. This property is widely used in EPR-research (electronic paramagnetic resonance) in biology and medicine. It seems really important that these are protein molecules that are the object of biological field action, according to A. G. Gurvich's opinion. These are they that being in the biological field action create "non-equilibrium molecular constellations" - the most significant dynamic formations in a cell. These are protein molecules-ferments that are the source of mitogenetic radiation - secondary chemiluminescence - the phenomenon which role is described below.

2.1. Phantom DNA
Phantom DNA effect [worm], if it turns out to be real, provides evidence for the concept of wormhole magnetic field. What happens is that bio-matter is irradiated with a visible laser light. One removes the bio-matter from the chamber and what is observed is that the irradiation with laser light still leads to nontrivial correlation functions: as if the chamber still would contain something, the phantom DNA, scattering the laser light. The proposed identification of the phantom DNA effect is in terms of the wormhole magnetic fields left in the chamber, when DNA is removed. The explanation of both effects involves a detailed mechanism for the interaction of the coherent light with the wormhole BE condensate leading to a generation of wormhole supra currents. This interaction could be fundamental in the biological information processing.

Torsion waves both superluminal and enduring. Meta-stable “torsion- phantoms" generated by spin- torsion interaction can persist even in the absence of the objects that generated them. Poponin, who has since repeated the experiment at the Heartmath Institute in the US, placed a sample of a DNA molecule into a temperature controlled chamber and subjected it to a laser beam. He found that the electromagnetic field around the chamber exhibits a specific structure, more or less as expected. But he also found that this structure persists long after the DNA itself has been removed from the laser- irradiated chamber: the DNA's imprint in the field continues to be present when the DNA is no longer there. Poponin and his collaborators conclude that the experiment shows that a new field structure has been triggered from the physical vacuum. This field is extremely sensitive; it can be excited by a range of energies close to zero. The phantom effect is a manifestation, they claim, of a hitherto overlooked vacuum substructure.

Abstract
A novel method was developed to prepare functionalized magnetic beads, in which superparamagnetic Fe3O4 core was synthesized with an injection-precipitation method and then was coated with functional groups using one-step suspension polymerization. In the coating and functionalizing process, a unique coupling reagent, bis-(2-hydroxyethyl methacrylate) phosphate, was introduced so that the monomers polymerized only on the surface of the nanocrystals without forming separate nuclei. The thickness of the coating layer and the size and density of the coated nanobeads were controlled by changing the quantity of the coated monomers. The nanobeads were characterized by transmission electron microscopy, light scattering spectrometry, Fourier transformation infrared spectroscopy, X-ray fluorescence spectroscopy and the magnetic hysteresis loop determination method. The carboxyl-modified magnetic nanobeads were employed to simplify the isolation of genomic DNA from human whole blood.

A:
No, not really; radioactivity and magnetism are rather different things.

That having been said, radioactivity and magnetism do show up together in various contexts, and there are some things which are interesting to talk about.

Some forms of radioactivity (alpha and beta emission, to be specific) involve the emission of charged particles from atoms which decay. In alpha decay, a helium nucleus, two protons and two neutrons, is ejected from the decaying atom. In beta emission, it is an electron which is emitted. A magnetic field will change the flight paths these charged particles will follow as they escape the atom, bending them around in circles, or more generally, helixes (think of a slinky spring -- that's the shape of a helix. A DNA molecule has two intertwined helixes).

Another way radioactivity may have something to do with magnetism is to transform a magnetic material into another via the process of radioactive decay. 55Fe is an unstable isotope of iron which decays by an interesting process. The nucleus combines with one of the inner-shell electrons, turning a proton into a neutron, and emitting a neutrino in the process. The electrons then rearrange themselves (one's missing, so another falls down to take its place), emitting a gamma ray. The resulting atom is manganese, which is not ferromagnetic by itself, but can be combined with other metals to make ferromagnetic alloys. If you start with a pure lump of magnetized 55Fe and wait a decade or so, the lump will mostly have turned into much less magnetic manganese.

Inverse Doppler effect

The Doppler effect, as any physics student knows, causes light from a receding object to shift to the red and light from an approaching object to shift to the blue. But astrophysicists have known for more than 40 years that in strongly magnetized plasmas, the interaction of electromagnetic waves with the plasma magnetic field can create strange effects. In a narrow range of frequencies above the gyro-frequency (the frequency at which electrons circle around magnetic field lines), the Doppler effect may reverse and cause approaching objects to be red-shifted rather than blue-shifted.

Manipulating the Doppler effect over a broader range of frequencies would be useful, as it could provide a way of tuning the frequency of radiation, such as terahertz waves, that cannot be easily tuned otherwise. At BAE Systems’ Advanced Technology Centre in Bristol, England, Nigel Seddon and Trevor Bearpark have developed a way to generate the inverse Doppler effect without using plasmas (Science 2003, 302, 1537). They use a transmission line, and the nonlinear magnetic effect is produced by soft ferrites in inductors instead of the magnetic field of a plasma.


Normally, a wave reflecting from a receding object shifts to a lower frequency, but when an electrical pump pulse is injected into a segmented transition line, the reflected wave moves to a higher frequency.

The 55-cm-long transmission line consists of 118 sections. Each section is linked to an inductor and capacitor, and each odd-numbered section is linked to the next odd-numbered section through a second capacitor, as are each of the even-numbered sections. The arrangement of capacitors and inductors creates the dispersion needed for the anomalous Doppler effect, which allows the transmission line to have a negative refractive index.

In their experiments, the researchers injected an electrical pump pulse into the transmission line. As the pulse traveled down the line, it put energy into the inductors, saturated the ferrite magnetic materials, and produced a traveling shock discontinuity between the saturated and unsaturated inductors. The pump pulse also produced a wave, which the team varied between 1.2 and 1.4 GHz, that traveled in the same direction as the shock and reflected back from the receding discontinuity. The team then measured the radio-frequency spectrum that was reflected back from the moving discontinuity.

As the researchers predicted by numerical simulations, they observed a primary signal at the same frequency as that originally generated, and a Doppler-shifted signal displaced toward the blue (shorter wavelengths). This signal from the receding reflection boundary was shifted 20% higher in frequency. Surprisingly, the amount of the Doppler shift was significantly more than would have occurred in a conventional Doppler shift at the velocity that the shock boundary was receding—1/15 the speed of light.

In a plasma Doppler shift, only a narrow range of frequencies exhibit the anomalous change, but in the transmission line, the inverse Doppler effect occurs across a much broader frequency range. “The upper limit on the transmission frequency is just set by the dispersion characteristics of the transmission line,” says Seddon, “so the effect operates at any frequency under that limit.” Seddon and Bearpark have calculated that Doppler blueshifts of more than double the original frequency could be achieved with suitable transmission-line designs, and they could be extended at least to the 100-GHz region and possibly to 1 THz.

DNA-guided nanotubes
One key to using nanotubes as the next generation of electronic components is to organize them into patterns more precise than those now possible with conventional lithography. Some form of self-assembly presents an attractive possibility. In organisms, DNA and RNA organize molecules, so it seems logical to try to use DNA to organize nanotubes. A team at the Technion- Israel Institute of Technology has done just that, creating single-nanotube transistors by guiding the nanotubes in a solution into place with DNA (Science 2003, 302, 1380). However, many steps lie between this initial proof of principle and working circuits.

The Israeli process acts to position the nanotubes on a specific section of a long DNA scaffolding molecule. This double-stranded molecule (dsDNA) was placed on a substrate, and a short, single-stranded DNA molecule (ssDNA) with a sequence identical to part of the long DNA is used as a locator. The first step in the process combines RecA protein molecules from E. coli bacteria with the ssDNA molecules to form a nucleoprotein filament that preserves the same protein sequence as the ssDNA.

The resulting protein molecule binds to the dsDNA scaffolding at the designated spot by matching up with the appropriate sequence of nucleic acids. Then protein-specific antibodies added to the solution bind to the protein and act as little markers. Next, secondary antibodies, specific to a molecule called streptavidin, bind to the primary antibodies. A semiconducting single-walled nanotube (SWNT) is combined with streptavidin. When the streptavidin–SWNT combination is placed in solution near the DNA scaffolding, it swiftly binds to the antibodies, locking the SWNT into its designated post.

After the DNA scaffolding is moved to a silica substrate, a silver layer is applied to form the electrodes. The RecA protein prevents the metal from binding to the SWNT, but the silver does bind to the exposed ends of the nanotube that stick out beyond the RecA. The silver then acts as nucleation centers for the formation of gold wires contacting the nanotubes. The final result is a tiny transistor, with the semiconducting SWNT forming a gate over the silica substrate, connected to the two electrodes.

Although the Israeli results demonstrate in principle the use of DNA to build nanotube circuit elements, many technical challenges remain. The research team found that many individual transistors did not work because metallic SWNTs were mixed in with semi-conducting SWNTs, a problem common to many potential nanotube applications (see The Industrial Physicist, February/ March 2004).

“We are working on separating the metallic SWNTs from the semi-conducting ones, but there are difficult problems that will take time to solve,” says Erez Braun, a leader of the Technion group. In addition, the current technique creates wires that dwarf the nanotubes, preventing the creation of ultra-small devices, and so the approach needs improved metallization schemes.

Beyond working on these tough problems, the researchers are looking to develop three-contact transistors, which are essential for building microcircuits. For this, they hope to use a three-armed DNA junction. But it remains an open question as to whether the DNA route can advance quickly enough to compete with other nanotube fabrication techniques (see The Industrial Physicist, December 2000, pp. 26-29).

Magnetic graphite
In 2000, a team of researchers at Leipzig University in Germany discovered the first hints of ferromagnetism in an organic material called highly oriented pyrolitic graphite (HOPG), a form of graphite that has a high degree of alignment between layers of carbon atoms. Organic ferromagnetism would have important implications for magnetic recording technology, biophysics, and astrophysics, but many scientists greeted the discovery with skepticism because the atomic structure of carbon did not seem to lend itself to ferromagnetism. Now, the same team has demonstrated the generation of organic ferromagnetism by bombarding HOPG samples with beams of protons to create ferromagnetism with about 1% of the gram-for-gram strength of magnetite (Phys. Rev. Lett. 2003, 91, 2227210-1).

The Leipzig group, led by Pablo Esquinazi, had focused on the possible role of hydrogen impurities in ferromagnetism based on earlier reports that the more hydrogen an organic compound contained, the more the magnetization. Theoretical work indicated that the mixture of bonds between hydrogen and carbon atoms could produce the sort of asymmetries needed for ferromagnetism. To create a high level of hydrogen impurities in HOPG, they irradiated a millimeter-sized sample using a proton beam with a particle energy of 2.25 MeV. The researchers implanted 1 hydrogen atom for about every 10,000 carbon atoms. They then tested for ferromagnetism by measuring the magnetic moment of the sample as they cycled an imposed 1-T magnetic field.

The team observed induced fields of about 10–2 T and an estimated magnetization of 1.1 emu/g, about 1% that of magnetite, the standard iron-based magnetic compound. The role of iron impurities (which were measured at every irradiation step) was ruled out, as these would create magnetization about 0.01% as strong as that observed.

One possible application of the new discovery is to create ultrasmall magnetic storage devices by irradiating protons into carbon nanotubes, which researchers have explored as the basis for a new generation of electronics. “If magnetism can be induced not only in graphite but in other organic matter, our brain could possibly utilize magnetism for information storage as well,” Esquinazi points out.

About Brainwaves
"The human brain produces a complex, multi-dimensional, pulsating, electromagnetic field resulting from the electrochemical behaviour of masses of neurons acting in small to very large groups" (Rosenboom, 1990). The Electroencephalogram, EEG, is the mixed-frequency electrical signal produced by this activity, and is measured from electrodes placed on the scalp.
EEG's can be categorised into four main components (Rosenboom, 1990): a random-seeming background; long-term coherent waves; short-term transient waves; and complex ongoing waves. The random-seeming background, about which little is known, is the residue observed "after all known methods of waveform decomposition are exhausted." Long-term coherent waves are the well known alpha, beta, delta, and theta rhythms, which range from approximately 1 to 30 Hertz. They are often associated with certain states of consciousness, such as alertness and sleep. Short-term transient waves, known as event-related-potentials (ERP's), reflect the "singular experience" (Rosenboom, 1990) associated with an external stimulus. ERP's are derived by taking the average of many EEG recordings, where the person is subjected to the same stimulus repeatedly. The reason for averaging is to remove noise caused by other un-correlated brainwave activities. The ERP has played an important part in developing the theory of music cognition. Finally, it is suggested that a non-random complex component exists, who's ever changing pattern comes from the build up of baseline activation’s from the vast neuronal masses within the brain. This pattern is expected to be the result of the ongoing, self-organisation of information during ones experience of life. If these patterns could be successfully measured, and sense made of them, we might witness the mechanisms of higher level thought processes.
Another measurement of brainwaves is the Magnetoenchephalogram (MEG), which uses super-conducting sensors to measure the fluctuation, and topographic distribution, of the magnetic fields associated with the discharge of neural action potentials, and electrochemical activity within the brain (Rosenboom, 1990). Advantages over the EEG are two fold: signals associated with highly spatial-localised activity are more readily detected; and the sensing equipment does not require direct contact with the head, thus making it more comfortable. However, the sensor technology is very complex and currently remains out of reach.
Other methods of measuring brain activity, such as Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), and Positron Emission Tomography (PET), provide a mapping of the activation of individual cortical areas, and can contribute to the understanding of the spatial-temporal activity of the brain under certain conditions. Unfortunately, they both require extremely expensive and ergonomically restrictive equipment.
It would appear, from the above, that EEG analysis is currently favourable for exploring and engineering methods that might lead to expert-thought-systems, that is, those that are mind-controlled.

Mimicking Brain's "All Clear" Quell's Fear in Rats

Researchers funded by the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH) have discovered a high tech way to quell panic in rats. They have detected the brain's equivalent of an "all clear" signal, that, when simulated, turns off fear. The discovery could lead to non-drug, physiological treatments for runaway fear responses seen in anxiety disorders.

Rats normally freeze with fear when they hear a tone they have been conditioned to associate with an electric shock. Dr. Gregory Quirk and Mohammed Milad, Ponce School of Medicine, Puerto Rico, have now demonstrated that stimulating a site in the front part of the brain, the prefrontal cortex, extinguishes this fear response by mimicking the brain's own "safety signal." They report on their findings in the November 7, 2002 Nature.

"Repeated exposure to traumatic reminders without any adverse consequences causes fear responses to gradually disappear," explained Quirk. "Such reduction of fear appears to be an active rather than passive process. It doesn't erase the fear association from memory, but generates a new memory for safety."

The researchers recorded electrical activity of neurons in the prefrontal cortex as rats were fear-conditioned — taught to fear a tone by repeatedly pairing it with a shock. Then they abolished this conditioned fear by presenting the tone without the shock; the animals no longer froze when they heard the tone.

Although inactive during both procedures, neurons near the middle of the prefrontal cortex, the infralimbic area, fired conspicuously when the tone was sounded on the following day. This activity proved to be the brain's way of signaling that the tone no longer presaged a shock. The more the cells fired — i.e., the louder this safety signal — the less the rats froze. Animals that showed the most infralimbic activity behaved as if they had never been fear conditioned at all.

The researchers then electrically stimulated the infralimbic area in rats that had been fear conditioned but not extinguished — in effect simulating the safety signal, while pairing it with the tone. Remarkably, the rats showed little freezing. Later, the rats continued to be unafraid of the tone even without the stimulation, suggesting that memory for extinction was strengthened by experimentally mimicking the safety signal.

Since the prefrontal cortex is known to project to the amygdala, a hub of fear memory deep in the brain, the researchers propose that increased activity of infralimbic neurons in the prefrontal cortex strengthens memory of safety by inhibiting the amygdala's memory of fear. They speculate that stimulating parts of the prefrontal cortex in anxiety disorder patients, using an experimental technique called transcranial magnetic stimulation, might help them control fear.

NIMH is part of the National Institutes of Health (NIH), the Federal Government's primary agency for biomedical and behavioral research. NIH is a component of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.

So far, University of Pennsylvania psychiatrist Martin Szuba has treated 12 people who found no relief in drugs or, in some cases, ECT. After two weeks of daily 20-minute TMS treatments, seven enjoyed moderate to dramatic relief that lasted up to a month before more TMS was needed. Szuba hopes that within a few years the technique will be ready for the 10 million Americans whose depression just won't go away."

He concluded that at frequencies where the auditory effect can be easily detected, microwaves penetrate deep into the tissues of the head, causing rapid thermal expansion (at the microscopic level only) that produces strains in the brain tissue.
An acoustic stress wave is then conducted through the skull to the cochlea, and from there, it proceeds in the same manner as in conventional hearing. It is obvious that receiver-less radio has not been adequately publicized or explained because of national security concerns.
Today, the ability to remotely transmit microwave voices inside a target's head is known inside the Pentagon as "Synthetic Telepathy." According to Dr. Robert Becker, "Synthetic Telepathy has applications in covert operations designed to drive a target crazy with voices or deliver undetected instructions to a programmed assassin."

Wormholes and possible new physics in biological length scales

1. Wormhole magnetic fields
Topological field quantization is one of the basic differences between TGD and ordinary quantum field theories. In TGD space-time is regarded as a surface of the 8-dimensional space H=M^4_+xCP_2 and classical gauge fields are induced from the curvature of the CP_2 spinor connection. The compactness of CP_2, as opposed to non-compactness of the space of the ordinary spinor connections, implies that the imbedding of a given gauge field typically fails on 3-dimensional surfaces and this implies many-sheeted space-time structure with different sheets having finite M^4_+ projection and outer boundary. At the boundaries the gauge fluxes flow from the smaller sheet to a larger one via tiny wormholes with a size determined by CP_2 size.

The simplest instance of the topological field quantization is the replacement of the classical magnetic fields with bundles of flux tubes parallel to the field lines: the flux tubes are cylindrical 3-surfaces with an outer boundary. A more exotic instance are ``wormhole magnetic fields'' consisting of two identical tubular space-time sheets and with charged wormholes situated at the boundaries of the flux tubes acting as the sources of the magnetic fields. These configurations are vacuum configurations in the sense that they do not contain ordinary matter at all. They can have also finite size both spatially and also in time direction (!) in case that they are topologically condensed on a larger space-time sheet and there is a small energy flow from the larger space-time sheet at time T_1 and back at time T_2> T_1. Wormhole magnetic fields glued to the space-time sheets containing ordinary bio-matter, are good candidates for the physical realization of cognitive representations. These almost vacuum space-time sheets glued to the material world giving rise to a cognitive representation would be very much like physical measurement apparata introducing a very slight perturbation of the system to be measured. Wormhole magnetic could be even regarded as the quintessence of the living systems.

The two space-time sheets involved with the wormhole magnetic fields can have same value of the p-adic prime characterizing the effective p-adic topology. The special feature of the p-adic entanglement is that the entanglement entropy can vanish for it and the p-adic version of the Negentropy Maximization Principle allows extended free will in case of S=0 entanglement: any S=0 final state is allowed as a final state of quantum jump whereas for ordinary S=0 entanglement only eigenstates of the density matrix are possible as the final states. S=0 subsystems can participate in all quantum jumps whereas S>0 subsystems can participate quantum jump only provided they give rise to maximum negentropy gain. This suggests that the possibility of 'self' (or even 'soul') could be basically due to these S=0 subsystems making possible effectively continuous stream of consciousness instead of quantum jumps allowed to occur only now and then by the strong form of NMP. The identification of the conscious experiences associated with S=0 quantum jumps as counterparts of free imagination suggests itself whereas the quantum jumps associated with the entangled systems possessing different p-adic primes would correspond naturally to sensory experience without no conscious selection since entanglement coefficients are either 1 or 0 and there is a complete permutation symmetry between various choices. The experiences involving conscious choice would in turn correspond to S>0 p-adic entanglement.

Wormhole magnetic fields provide a quantum mechanism for a control at distance, say of the control of the behaviour of cell organelles by cell nucleus as well as a model for the memory of bio-system in terms of integer valued winding numbers identifiable as quantized momenta of the wormhole supra currents. One of the basic problems of biology is how the genetic code is transformed into spatial structures during ontogeny, and an attractive idea is that each DNA sequence corresponds to a characteristic wormhole magnetic field configuration serving as a template for the topological condensation of the ordinary matter. The fact that wormhole flux tubes are hollow cylinders, is in nice accordance with this idea (microtubules, axonal membranes, etc. are hollow cylinders).

Possible effects related to the wormholes

2.1. Phantom DNA

Phantom DNA effect [worm], if it turns out to be real, provides evidence for the concept of wormhole magnetic field. What happens is that bio-matter is irradiated with a visible laser light. One removes the bio-matter from the chamber and what is observed is that the irradiation with laser light still leads to nontrivial correlation functions: as if the chamber still would contain something, the phantom DNA, scattering the laser light. The proposed identification of the phantom DNA effect is in terms of the wormhole magnetic fields left in the chamber, when DNA is removed. The explanation of both effects involves a detailed mechanism for the interaction of the coherent light with the wormhole BE condensate leading to a generation of wormhole supra currents. This interaction could be fundamental in the biological information processing.

2.2. Exotic atoms

One of the basic consequences of the many-sheeted space-time concept is the concept of exotic atom. When a valence electron drops from the atomic space-time sheet to a larger, say 'molecular' space-time sheet, a wormhole is formed. The process also leads to a lowering of the valence of the atom and to the change of the chemical properties of the atom: electronic alchemy becomes possible.

The claimed peculiar properties, in particular an effective change of the number of valence electrons and possible super conductivity, of the materials called ORMEs (Orbitally Rearranged Monatomic Elements) [Hudson], if really real, could perhaps be understood using the concept of exotic atom. The Ca, K and Na ions crucial for the functioning of the cell could be perhaps regarded ionized states of the exotic atoms.

2.3 DNA as a conductor

The concept of the exotic atom might make it possible to understand the recently established ability of DNA to act as a conductor [Barton]: electronic charge carriers could propagate in the non-atomic space-time sheet without an appreciable resistance. Actually, propagation at non-atomic, almost empty, space-time sheet might provide a general mechanism of charge transfer in living matter. The first mechanism to come in mind is the trapping of the electron around an enhancement of positive wormhole charge density associated with a propagating soliton like deformation of the boundary of the lower DNA space-time sheet. A quantitative model is possible since the coupling of the electron to wormholes is the ordinary em coupling and the coupling of the wormholes to the boundary geometry is mediated by the induced metric appearing in the kinetic part of the action.

2.4 A new mechanism of electronic super conductivity?

The electrons on the non-atomic space-time sheet could form Cooper pairs. They see only the classical electromagnetic fields of the wormholes feeding the gauge fluxes from the atomic space-time sheet. The excitations of the wormhole BE condensate generated by the classical electromagnetic interaction of the electron with the wormhole BE condensate could replace phonons in the usual mechanism of super conductivity by generating a small attractive interaction between the members of the Cooper pair. This mechanism, if it really works at the quantitative level, might be possible only at rather long p-adic length scales since the excitation energy of the wormhole BE condensate is proportional to 1/L(p) and rather large in nano-length scales. It is too early to say anything about whether the different space-time sheets are in thermal equilibrium or not. If not, then a new mechanism of high temperature super conductivity would become possible. The super conductivity in question is of type II and defect regions are thus cylinder-like regions: various linear structures such as DNA, proteins, microtubules,... could correspond to these defects. Wormhole magnetic fields provide a possible representation for the defect regions. Rather remarkably, the critical magnetic fields of exotic super conductors are very low and thus magnetic fields could play key role in the biological information processing if the quantum numbers of magnetic fields serve as carriers of bio-information.

2.5 Neutrino super conductivity?

Both classical Z^0 force and neutrinos should play key role in condensed matter length scales and be especially relevant for bio-systems. The mechanism of neutrino super conductivity is same as that for exotic electronic super conductivity: now only electromagnetic wormholes are replaced with Z^0 charged wormholes. Type I super conductivity is in question in the relevant length scale range and defects are stripe-like regions. Cell membranes, epithelial cell sheets and various bi-layered structures in cortex are good candidates for the defects of neutrino super conductivity. TGD based explanation of the tritium beta decay anomaly relies heavily on the presence of classical Z0 fields screened by neutrinos in condensed matter length scales. Also neutrino super conductivity is crucial aspect of the model. Also the acceleration anomaly of spacecrafts has explanation in terms of neutrinos and long ranged classical Z^0 force.
