Hello, to start off my name is John and I will be starting the Winter quarter at my University as a senior in Neuroscience. Last quarter, I did fairly poor in all of my classes and it dropped my GPA dramatically -- I had a 3.72 and basically anything lower than an A- in a 4 unit class will just absolutely destroy it... so I will not go further into that.. Anyway, I have been a long time lurker -- I have been watching these forums ever since there was a log about huperzine-A intake and how it improved overall cognitive performance; although I've forgotten the thread starter.. I finally decided to make an account and ask you guys -- I am especially looking forward to the feedback from lifemirage because I've been following his instructions for other people on how to take nootropics for awhile now.. A brief medical bio: I have ADHD and was diagnosed with it when I was a child -- due to running rampant, beating other children up and not following simple directions like "normal children". I am very active, I used to run daily but now have chosen to cycle instead -- simply to avoid shin splints. I am also an amateur triathlete but consider myself knowledgeable in cycling because I am a cyclist for my University.
Now, I wouldn't have gone through with this -- making a thread and all but I also don't want to put an aggregate of random medication into my body without having the FULL extent knowledge of what they will do to me. I am currently taking RITALIN on a regular day basis. I have also just ordered Modafinil from a online pharm site and it should be arriving soon. I've been wanting to test Modafinil out for myself -- I've heard wonder stories, although lifemirage doesn't seem to be a fan of it =\. Well, let me finish this lengthy text up and just ask: I will be doing a rough set of classes this quarter and on top of that will also be studying for the mcats[first time taking it -- giving myself a 6 month prep timer -- going to take it late Sept]. What would you guys recommend myself to take to keep in tip top shape through the quarter both physically and mentally. ::Medications I have:: -Ritalin -Huperzine A -Ginkgo Biloba -Omega-3 -Vinpocetine -Modafinil -Pramiracetam [and its weaker brother Pir] I am looking for better memory, concentration, focus, and energy -- just overall something that will keep me going because this quarter is going to be rough -- really, I am scared that I will either get run over by a car on my bike riding to school or just fail all my classes due to being exhausted [I have gotten 4 C's in my college career so far]. OH! forgot to mention, I also have a job -- I am a neurobio lab assistant, doing basic PCR, screens, and killing baby mice because they don't have the desired hybridized trait.. anyway, I digress.. PLEASE HELP ME.. SOMEONE?! anyone?! If you've gone through the trouble reading this whole dreadful thing and can't help me -- I thank you anyway for giving up your precious time! note: it's new years and I am having trouble sleeping [5:30am], so please excuse any grammatical or spelling errors that are sure to be littered all over what I've written, CHEERS! |
