Here is a work bio Shawn wrote:

"I work on comprehensively mapping mammalian whole-brain circuitry and structure at the synaptic level using high-throughput volume electron microscopy. I completed my Ph.D. in neuroscience at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine at the Krieger Mind-Brain Institute in Baltimore, MD. Afterwards, I worked with Ted Jones at the University of California (Davis) to develop the BrainMaps project, an internet-enabled multi-resolution histochemical and tract-tracing brain atlas for various mammalian species. During subsequent post-doctoral work with Winfried Denk at the Max Planck Institute for Medical Research in Heidelberg, Germany, I developed methods to prepare small mammalian brains for electron microscopy and to image them using high-throughput multi-beam scanning electron microscopy. I'm currently working on ultrastructurally mapping the complete circuit of the whole mouse brain at single-synapse resolution. Longer term, my goal is to use high-throughput electron microscopy to map the complete circuitry, at the nanoscale level, of small non-human primate brains. "

Going thru Shawn's writings and what he left on our server unpublished. Hope to continue releasing new material as I can get thru it, but I love this quote of his:

"The brain is an instrument, and consciousness is the music it produces. Consciousness is our doorway to the divine and to God, and as such, the brain is the key that unlocks the door. If we are to realize God within ourselves, it must be thru our brains. We must learn to play this instrument, our brain, ever so elegantly, so that new universes and understandings will unfold, and we'll know God (or Reality), as He really is, for the first time, and we'll know Him to be us, and will experience Him as such."

Yes, awareness and 'taming' of the self (ego). This we can do now, on the individual bases. Next: Repeat... As a species. The point of no return. The Consciousness Singularity. Shawn's obsession.

Greeting HH! Have you found what you were looking for? I hope so, old friend!
