these overheard conversations were about uninspiring, humdrum stuff that ordinarily would be of no attention to me. Two subjects dominated: ill-health and TV. What surprised me about the conversations regarding TV applications (usually soaps) was that the conversationists spoke as if the numbers were an individual rather than outstanding actors. Now, I can get into software while I'm watching it and encounter excitement and sadness, fear and relief,
but when it's finished all of that goes. If the director was particularly offul that may conform to me for a little while, but I never shift to a situation where I think any of it is actual. Why these overheard conversations surprised me was that it seemed there was actual hatred knowledgeable towards the numbers that were working with others unkindly. I noticed opinions about what this or that personality should/shouldn't have done - as if the actor had a choice! I was thinking it was all very uncommon. They were behaving as if these were actual events happening to someone. Are they confused about reality? Do they shift into an different universe in to obtain maximum pleasure from what they watch? I have no idea, but it is quite amazing. The wellness insurance fitness part was even more interesting. I noticed many of these conversations and they were always the same - a tennis match. One party would toss a football over the net, an in-growing toe fingernail say; while this was being described in glorious Technicolor the other would be looking their memory for someone they noticed who also had an in-growing toe fingernail that was worse. Maybe, if there were no in-growing toenails, they noticed someone who had had their toe amputated. The reaction had to relate to the very first football that was tossed over the net, but the football that was returned had to be bigger and faster. This would go on quickly escalating to someone with cancer, an essential operation, or the deaths of some distant acquaintance. This is a frequently noticed design of debate. Someone provides a gem of something and, while they continue speaking, the audience is looking for some type of appropriate reaction that will keep them in the experience. To be the experience you have to produce something appropriate but bigger and better. If it's a direct encounter you might just win, but something associated with you by someone of someone will keep you enjoying. There is a deeply knowledgeable need to come out on top. Imagine what would occur if you just listened in quiet with no purpose of responding. I have done this. A extensive range of people just start working on finish the room. If the topic runs out of steam, the quiet is intolerable and the other party will usually determine something to grow it. As I came across how to devote some time listening to with a quiet ideas that was uninterested in responding, I came across I began to pay attention to what wasn't being said. The themes that were avoided; those factors the speaker recognized with; and sometimes even whether or not the speaker was being truthful. When you
