Honestly my fiance is a far more gifted microscopist than myself, but she is working over at the Jules Stein Eye Institute right now (UCLA). Where is your lab located?

Looking forward to the updates!

If you ever need some help, all you have to do is ask smile.gif Certified electron microscopist with some free time wink wink.

certified electron microscopist, really? There are no dire problems with mapping the mouse whole-brain using EM. Just a lot of work. It's a question of productivity right now. Feel free to contact me on Skype with my email address, brainmaps-at-gmail-dot-com. It could be interesting to talk more.

I do plan to make an announcement soon on the progress with mapping all long-range connections, at single axon resolution, in the mouse whole-brain, hopefully soon.

So, what's the update on your research progress?... Any exciting news?

no premature announcements. A little patience will be rewarded.

Oh and I wasn't aware this site had any $$$ smile.gif

Were this my forum, I would definitely be capitalizing hardcore.

this site currently sustains itself, but as you may know from the unfixed new user registration issue, there is not extra money for hiring programmers to fix bugs or add more functionality. In the past, I was the sole programmer for this site. Now, however, my time is very limited, and so there are bugs in the forum that I am aware of but that cannot be fixed at the moment.

lucid_dream please confirm if you have purchased & used products from CerebralHealth?

I have not, but primarily because I am too preoccupied with other matters that absorb my attention.

And is there a place from other forum users impartial reviews (in a way that it cannot be censored by $$$) of this site?

I would expect that you can post impartial reviews anywhere on this site. If you think posts are being unfairly deleted, you can always email me about it at brainmaps-at-gmail-dot-com and I will look into the matter and reply to you.

  ***Testing censorship***

Cerebrosene sounds like some bs to me. Based on the studies I have come across there is nothing to indicate that oral administration in humans would be of any benefit. Anyone care to enlighten me? Although, as far as BM is concerned, I have never seen it advertised, and I have no doubt that it is what they say it is. I just doubt it works.

On another note, I have purchased from CH (galantamine) and have had no problems. Haven't done any testing on it, because it seems to have the desired effect--sometimes a bit more than desired, but that is my bad for taking the full 8mg. This is not true of other companies which I have purchased from. I ran an IR on some PEA I bought elsewhere and it did not even contain any amine group whatsoever...

I have some minor concerns with CH and their packaging claims, but that is a totally different matter from the product itself, and is something very common amongst all companies. All in all, I can't really say anything bad about CH, and that is saying a lot. I would love to rag on many noot suppliers out there, but CH runs a pretty damn good business.

I will rag on the website though... Definitely in need of some aesthetic overhaul.

I had to delete a few posts. Let's keep things on topic!

A few more posts in this same thread would be in order...i.e. off-topic discussion (PET scanning/proton beams etc. wtf?) + double posts?
